The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Office Depot's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to officedepot.com and open your print order tracking page. The extension automatically creates a floating print order status badge on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The badge shows your print job status, progress, and estimated completion time. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the badge with the latest print order information. The "Status change notifications" toggle controls desktop notifications when the print job becomes ready for pickup. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

PRINT ORDER STATUS DETECTION WITH PROGRESS CALCULATION AND PER-ORDER HISTORY

Unlike simple order counters, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find print order status, progress, and job details from Office Depot's varying page structures. It searches for order status using multiple selector patterns (.order-status, .job-status, .print-status) and falls back to text parsing with keyword matching (ready, processing, submitted, hold, complete). Progress is extracted from progress indicators using both percentage text and item-based progress (completed/total items). A progress bar is rendered using the extracted percentage. Each print order's history is tracked using the order number as a key, storing status changes with timestamps. When the status changes to "ready" or "complete," and the user has notifications enabled, a desktop notification is triggered with a one-hour cooldown.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on officedepot.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, notification preference, and print order history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Office Depot's website changes periodically, and print order element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting print order data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, notification preference, and per-order status history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Print order history is stored as a key-value object where keys are order numbers and values are arrays of status records with timestamps. The order status displayed is read from the page—the extension does not access Office Depot's internal order data. Always verify with Office Depot directly for the most accurate print order status information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected.
