About this app

WHAT IT DOES

This tool helps you track authentication status on Vestiaire Collective items. It scans item pages for authentication indicators, extracting the current status (Verified, Authenticated, Pending, Unverified, or Unknown) and displaying it as a compact, color-coded badge. The panel shows detailed authentication information including the date of authentication, certifier name, and certificate ID when available. The seller's authentication pass rate is calculated based on their item history, displayed as a percentage with color coding—green for high (80%+), yellow for medium (50-79%), and red for low (below 50%). A history log shows previous status changes for the item. Desktop notifications alert you when authentication status changes or is completed.

WHERE IT RUNS

The script activates on Vestiaire Collective pages (vestiairecollective.com), including item detail pages, product pages, and seller listings. It automatically detects authentication data using multiple extraction strategies that work across different Vestiaire Collective layouts. The panel appears as a draggable overlay that stays accessible as you browse items.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any Vestiaire Collective item page. The panel will appear showing the authentication status badge with color coding—green for Verified, blue for Authenticated, yellow for Pending, red for Unverified, and gray for Unknown. The badge shows the status label and the item name. Detailed information is displayed below showing authentication date, certifier, certificate ID, and number of items authenticated by the seller. The seller's authentication rate is shown as a percentage. Toggle "History on/off" to show or hide the status change history. Set the "Refresh (s)" input to control how often the script checks for updates (default 60 seconds). The "Refresh" button manually updates the data, and "Reset Notifications" clears all notification flags.

THE TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The script employs a multi-strategy DOM extraction approach for Vestiaire Collective's authentication interface. It first attempts structured selectors targeting known class names like .authentication-badge, .auth-badge, and .verified-badge, then falls back to heuristic detection using text pattern matching for authentication keywords. Status detection uses regex patterns for "verified", "authenticated", "pending", and "unverified" indicators. The item ID is extracted from the URL path or generated from the item name. Authentication details such as date, certifier, and certificate ID are extracted using regex patterns. The seller's authentication rate is calculated from text patterns like "X% authenticated" or "X authenticated items". Status history is stored per item using GM_setValue with timestamps, enabling change tracking and notifications. The notification system uses GM_notification with storage-based deduplication using GM_setValue to prevent repeated alerts. The auto-refresh uses setInterval with a user-configurable interval, and a MutationObserver watches for page updates. All settings and history are persisted using GM_setValue.

THE PANEL

The panel is fully draggable by its header and remembers its position on the page across sessions. It can be collapsed to a small bubble using the minimize button, then restored by clicking the bubble. The panel resizes automatically to fit its content and can be closed with the Escape key or by clicking the close button. The panel's position and state persist globally, so it returns to the same location on subsequent visits.

PLEASE NOTE

Requires the free BotGentz extension to run. Vestiaire Collective may update its site structure, which could affect the script's ability to detect authentication data — updates will be released as needed. All authentication data, history, and settings are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted externally. The script reads data from the visible page and does not access any data beyond what is visibly presented. The script does not modify your Vestiaire Collective account or item listings. The seller authentication rate is calculated from the data available on the page and may not reflect the full seller history. Desktop notifications are sent only when the page is active and the script is running. This tool is for informational purposes only and is not affiliated with Vestiaire Collective.
