About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Wayfair Web Room Visualizer Reminder detects when a product on Wayfair has the room visualizer feature available and displays a friendly reminder overlay to encourage you to use it. The reminder appears as a floating card in the bottom-right corner of the page, showing the product name and a "Try Visualizer" button. Clicking the button attempts to launch the visualizer by finding and clicking the visualizer button on the page. The extension tracks which products you have viewed, how many times you have viewed each product, and whether you have used the visualizer for that product. The panel shows product information, visualizer availability, view count, and usage status. You can manually show the reminder, mark visualizer as used, and control how often reminders appear.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension works on all Wayfair pages at wayfair.com and its subdomains, specifically on product detail pages where the room visualizer feature is available. It runs on the main product view, the product gallery page, and any page displaying product information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Wayfair's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.
HOW TO USE
Install the extension, then navigate to wayfair.com and open any product page. If the product has a room visualizer available, a reminder card will appear. Click "Try Visualizer" to launch the visualizer feature. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the panel. The panel shows the current product name, whether the visualizer is available, how many times you've viewed the product, and whether you've used the visualizer. Use the "Show Reminder" button to manually display the reminder card. Use the "Mark Used" button to record that you've used the visualizer for this product. The reminder frequency setting controls how often reminders appear—Always, Once per product, or Once per session.
SELECTOR-BASED VISUALIZER DETECTION WITH PER-PRODUCT TRACKING
Unlike simple page scrapers, this extension uses a multi-selector detection engine to identify whether the room visualizer is available on the page. It scans for visualizer-related elements using a prioritized list of selectors including .room-visualizer, .visualizer, .view-in-your-space, .ar-button, and data attributes like [data-visualizer]. If no element is found, it scans the page text for visualizer-related keywords. The extension tracks per-product history using a unique product identifier derived from the product ID or name. For each product, it stores view count, last viewed timestamp, and whether the visualizer has been used. The reminder system checks these values against the selected reminder frequency mode to determine whether to show a reminder, preventing annoyance while still encouraging feature adoption.
THE PANEL
The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on wayfair.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, reminder frequency, and product history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Wayfair's website changes periodically, and product element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting visualizer availability until an update is released. The extension stores your reminder frequency, product view history, and visualizer usage history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Product history is stored as a key-value object where keys are product IDs and values contain view count and usage status. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. The extension does not read or store your Wayfair login credentials, email, or any identifying information. You can clear all stored settings and history at any time by clearing your browser data for wayfair.com.
