How the Voice Commands works
A single tap arms always-on listening for a wake word ("Surfa"), after which the browser matches what you say against hundreds of real actions — opening apps, scrolling, running any of the page-tool buttons above, controlling media — using an actual language model rather than a fixed phrase list, so "read this to me" and "can you read this out loud" both work the same way.
Why it matters
Every voice feature bolted onto a browser as an extension has to fight the page for control. Built directly into the browser, voice commands can act on the page, the tabs, and the browser chrome itself.
