The AI Acronym Explainer is a property-AI assistant that helps you decode acronyms and jargon commonly used in property, facilities management, and workplace operations. Instead of searching through manuals or asking colleagues, you provide a text containing acronyms, a list of acronyms, or a topic area – and the agent returns a structured list with each acronym, its full form, and a brief one-sentence explanation, formatted as a concise bullet-point list and organised alphabetically where possible. The output is capped at 1,024 tokens to keep it focused and easy to scan. This tool is ideal for new starters, cross-functional teams, knowledge managers, and anyone who needs to quickly understand the acronym-dense language of property and facilities management.

HOW TO USE

Open the agent in BotSurf – it runs in its own sandboxed frame with no browser APIs required. The first time you use it, paste your API key once (the host securely stores it via the BGAI bridge). Then, simply provide a text containing acronyms, a list of acronyms, or a topic area – for example, "The project will use BIM for design coordination and FM for ongoing maintenance. We need to comply with BREEAM and achieve a minimum ESG rating. The CAFM system will track all assets." – and click "Explain Acronyms". You can also click "Use the page selection" to automatically pull selected text from the current page into the input field. The agent will process your input and display the explained acronyms. No complex configuration – just provide your text and get clear definitions.

WHAT IT SENDS

When you press the "Explain Acronyms" button, the agent sends only the plain text currently in the input box (truncated to 6,000 characters if necessary). It does not send any metadata, browsing history, page content (unless you explicitly use the selection button to copy text into the box), or any other data. The service uses this text solely to generate the acronym explanations. Usage logs record only the number of runs for billing purposes – they never store or log the content of your text or the explained output. Your acronym queries remain confidential; the content of your requests is not retained or reviewed.

SUBSCRIPTION

This agent is available for $19.99 per month, which includes a 7‑day free trial. Each subscription gives you 100 analysis runs per month (unused runs do not roll over). You can cancel anytime through your BotSurf account settings – no questions asked, and you retain access until the end of your current billing period. The free trial is fully functional, so you can test the explainer with your real acronym-heavy documents before committing.

THE PANEL

The agent opens as a draggable panel within BotSurf. You can drag it anywhere on the screen, snap it to the edge for a tidy workspace, collapse it to a small bubble (showing the emoji sparkle ✨), and restore it with a click. Press the Escape key to close the panel. The panel’s position is saved persistently – it will reappear exactly where you left it the next time you open the agent.
