AI Flight Delay Rights Explainer
About this app
WHAT IT DOES
AI Flight Delay Rights Explainer helps air travelers understand their passenger rights when facing flight delays. Provide a flight number, airline, departure and arrival airports, delay duration, and reason for delay, and the agent returns a structured explanation with four sections: Applicable Regulations (which passenger rights laws apply, such as EU261 or UK law), Compensation Eligibility (whether the passenger qualifies for monetary compensation and how much), Duty of Care (entitlements to meals, refreshments, accommodation, and transport), and Recommended Action (clear, actionable steps for the passenger to take). The output is designed to help travelers navigate the claims process with confidence.
HOW TO USE
Open the agent in BotSurf and paste your BotGentz API key once (the host stores it securely). In the input box, enter the flight number, airline name, departure and arrival airports, the total delay duration, and the reason for the delay if known. Press "Explain Rights" or use Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter) to run. The agent returns a formatted rights explanation with all four sections. You can also click "Use page selection" to pull selected text from the surrounding page—such as flight status pages, airline communications, or boarding passes—directly into the input field. Regenerate as many times as you like within your monthly limit, refining your details to get a more precise rights assessment.
WHAT IT SENDS
The agent sends exactly the text you type into the input box—nothing else. It does not send browser history, cookies, page context, analytics, or any hidden metadata. The request fires only when you explicitly click the explain button or press the keyboard shortcut. Usage logs record only that a request occurred and the timestamp, for billing and quota tracking; they never log the content of your flight data or the generated explanation. Your travel information is not stored, shared, or used for model training. The bridge transmits a form-encoded POST payload, and the response returns directly to your panel.
SUBSCRIPTION
The agent costs $19.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial and no upfront charge. Each subscription includes 100 runs per month—sufficient for checking rights for multiple flights, helping family members, or supporting ongoing travel planning. Unused runs do not roll over. You can cancel anytime from your BotSurf account settings. The trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the seventh day. No long-term contracts, no hidden fees.
THE PANEL
The agent runs as a movable, resizable panel inside BotSurf. Drag the panel by its header to position it anywhere on screen; it snaps to the nearest edge for a tidy workspace. Click the collapse button or press the Escape key to minimize it to a small floating bubble, keeping it accessible without blocking your view. The panel remembers its position and collapsed state across sessions using the host's state API. The header shows only the title text, while the collapsed bubble displays the emoji icon for quick visual identification.
PLEASE NOTE
This agent uses a large language model to generate text based on patterns in its training data. While designed to be helpful, AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or legally non-binding information. Passenger rights laws vary by jurisdiction, change frequently, and are subject to specific exceptions and interpretations. This tool provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional legal advice, official regulatory guidance, or direct consultation with the airline. Always verify rights with the relevant aviation authority or legal professional before taking action. For specific legal decisions, consult with qualified legal counsel.
