About this app
WHAT IT DOES
AI Prior Authorization Summary Writer is a specialized AI agent that helps healthcare providers, medical billing staff, and administrative teams quickly distill complex prior authorization cases into clear, actionable summaries. Give it prior authorization case details, insurance policy information, or clinical notes, and it returns exactly five key elements, ranked by clinical and administrative urgency. Each element covers an essential part of the prior authorization process—a patient summary that highlights relevant demographics and medical history, a requested service that specifies the procedure or treatment being requested, a coverage determination that clarifies the insurance policy stance, missing documentation that identifies what's still needed to complete the submission, and clear next steps that outline what action to take. The ranking helps you prioritize the most urgent elements for each case. No more wading through pages of faxes and insurance jargon—just a structured, repeatable summary that accelerates your prior authorization workflow.
HOW TO USE
Open the agent in BotSurf from the store. Paste your BotGentz API key once when prompted (the host handles secure storage). In the input box, type or paste prior authorization case details, insurance policy information, or clinical notes. Include as much context as possible—patient demographics, diagnosis, requested procedure, insurance carrier, policy number, current status, and any documentation already submitted (e.g., "Patient: Jane Smith, 58, history of osteoarthritis. Requesting: right knee arthroscopy. Insurance: Aetna PPO, policy #123456. Prior auth submitted 5 days ago. Need peer-to-peer review scheduled. Awaiting additional imaging."). Click "Write Summary" or use the "Use page selection" button to pull text from any open browser tab, such as an EHR system, a prior authorization portal, or an insurance correspondence. The AI replies within seconds with a clean, bullet‑style panel. No chat history, no follow-up required—just a fast, repeatable prior authorization summary tool.
WHAT IT SENDS
When you click "Write Summary," the agent transmits exactly the text currently in the input box—nothing more, nothing less. It does not send page URLs, browsing history, IP addresses, location data, system metadata, or any other contextual information. The only external transmission is that single payload to the AI model, truncated to 6,000 characters if necessary. Usage logs on our servers record only the timestamp of each request and whether it succeeded (for tracking the 100-run monthly quota); they do not store the content of your prompts or the AI's responses. No training data is harvested, and no session data persists beyond the current request. Your prior authorization data and the model's summary remain strictly between you and the API endpoint.
SUBSCRIPTION
This agent costs $19.99 per month, billed monthly. Every subscription includes a 7-day free trial—no charge during that period, and you get the full 100 runs/month to evaluate thoroughly. Runs reset on your billing date; unused runs do not roll over. You can cancel anytime from your BotSurf account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No long-term commitment, no setup fees, no hidden charges.
THE PANEL
The agent opens as a draggable, resizable panel that snaps to screen edges and collapses to a small icon when not in use. Press Escape to close it instantly, or click the collapse button to tuck it away. The panel remembers its position and size across sessions (if the host supports state persistence via BGAI.setState). It stays above page content, so you can keep it open while referencing EHRs, insurance portals, or clinical documentation.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool provides general information and summarization assistance only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, legal advice, or insurance determination. Always consult qualified healthcare providers and insurance professionals, and verify all information against official policy documents and clinical records before acting. AI can make mistakes—prior authorization requirements vary significantly by insurer, policy, and jurisdiction. Use at your own risk.
