Discount Request Drafter is a shopping tool that analyzes product listings, pricing, and any available discount or promotion information from any webpage, then drafts a polite, persuasive email requesting a discount. It identifies the product details, current price, and any visible promotion information, then generates a well-structured request that references the specific product, explains the purchase context (such as bulk order, repeat customer, or budget constraints), and provides a clear, reasonable reason for requesting a lower price. You can choose between a professional or friendly style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying product listings, pricing, and discount or promotion information. Common sources include e-commerce platforms, independent stores, artisan marketplaces, and service providers.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a product listing, pricing, and any available discount or promotion information. Open the BotGentz extension and select Discount Request Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Optionally enter the product name, then enter the purchase context and the reason for your discount request. Select your preferred style (professional or friendly) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Request" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant product and pricing details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a polite, persuasive discount request email in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PRICING AND DISCOUNT CONTEXT EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on retail pricing and discount communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing pricing and discount indicators such as "price," "cost," "sale," "discount," "promotion," "offer," "coupon," "code," "percentage," "saving," and "deal." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the product data and surrounding structural markers (price tags, sale badges, promotion banners, discount codes). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a pricing or discount context using features like pricing language frequency ("$," "price," "was," "now," "save"), discount patterns, and promotion markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into three core categories: the product details, the current price and any discounts, and any promotion or coupon information. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, product name, purchase context, reason, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete discount request with standardized sections (introduction, product reference, purchase context explanation, reason for request, polite ask, and closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

AI-generated discount requests are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss pricing details or misread discount information. Websites change their product page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
