This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying colleague profiles, directory listings, team rosters, employee bios, or similar contact information. Common sources include company directories, LinkedIn profiles, team web pages, internal employee portals, CRM systems, and professional networking platforms.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a colleague's profile, directory listing, or contact information. Open the BotGentz extension and select Email Reply Introducing a Colleague from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Enter the purpose of the introduction and a clear call to action. Select your preferred style (formal or friendly) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Introduction" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant colleague information and sends it along with your details to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a professional, warm introduction email in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PROFILE AND EXPERTISE EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on professional profile and directory listing patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing profile indicators such as "profile," "bio," "about," "team," "roster," "directory," "employee," "contact," "title," and "department." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the profile text and surrounding structural markers (name fields, job titles, department labels, expertise lists, achievement bullets, and social links). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a professional profile using features like role title frequency ("Senior," "Manager," "Lead," "Director"), expertise language ("specializes in," "expert in," "focused on"), achievement markers ("recognized," "awarded," "published"), and affiliation references. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the colleague's full name and contact details, their current role and department, their key expertise and accomplishments, and any relevant personal or professional context. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, purpose, call to action, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete introduction email with standardized sections (warm greeting, introduction of colleague, role and expertise highlights, purpose explanation, call to action, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

AI-generated introduction emails are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally misread profile details or miss relevant expertise. Websites change their profile page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
