AI-powered event planning checklist generator that creates comprehensive, tailored checklists from event details. The script reads event information from the current page—event type, date, location, size, description, and requirements—and generates a categorized event planning checklist tailored to that specific event. The AI produces a comprehensive checklist covering planning tasks, logistics, vendors, communication, marketing, and day-of-event activities based on the event's unique characteristics. You can customize the checklist detail level (basic/standard/comprehensive) and toggle inclusion of timelines, vendor items, budget items, and day-of checklists. The user reviews the output before copying or using it.

Works on all event pages (match pattern *://*/*), including conference pages, wedding planning sites, corporate event pages, meetup listings, party planning sites, and any page containing event details.

HOW TO USE

Install the script and the Event Planning Checklist Generator appears in the panel. Configure your preferred detail level and toggle inclusion of timelines, vendor items, budget items, and day-of checklists using the settings controls. Click "Generate Checklist" to analyze the current page. The AI extracts event details and creates a tailored planning checklist. Review the output in the panel. Click "Copy to Clipboard" to copy the checklist for use in project management tools, spreadsheets, or planning documents. Adjust the settings and regenerate if you want a different level of detail.

REAL MECHANISM: DOM CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI CHECKLIST GENERATION AND REVIEW GATE

This script uses a hybrid extraction approach that prioritizes structured content when available. First, it checks for WebMCP (navigator.modelContext), a W3C proposal that exposes structured tools on the page. If available, it calls getContent() to obtain structured event data. If WebMCP is not present—the common case today—it falls back to DOM scraping using targeted selectors for event sections (event-details, event-description, event-info, event-page, event-summary, event-listing, event-card, event-content, event-requirements, and event-specs). It also scans for event-related keywords (event, date, time, location, venue, size, attendee, guest, description, requirements, when, where) in paragraphs, headings, and list items. The extracted text is sent to an AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest, which processes it with a system prompt that includes the user's detail level and inclusion preferences. The AI returns a categorized event planning checklist (up to 300 words) with tasks organized into pre-planning, logistics, vendors, communication, marketing, and day-of activities. The response is displayed in a bordered container for review before copying. Copy-to-clipboard uses GM_setClipboard. All settings (detailLevel, includeTimelines, includeVendors, includeBudget, includeDayOf) are persisted via GM_setValue. The script enforces a review-before-use pattern: the user must read and approve the AI output before copying it.

THE PANEL

Drag the panel anywhere on screen by clicking and holding the header. It snaps to screen edges when released. Collapse it to a small bubble by clicking the minimize button, and expand it back by clicking the bubble. Resize the panel from any corner. Press Escape to close the configuration panel. Your position and size preferences are saved automatically per site.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension and an active AI subscription for the checklist generation service. AI-generated checklists should be reviewed for completeness before use—the AI may overlook event-specific requirements. The script reads the current page content and sends it to the AI backend for processing; no data is stored or logged. Websites change frequently; if the script stops detecting event content, check for updates to the extraction selectors.
