About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Fantasy Sports Lineup Optimizer Overlay automatically detects fantasy sports player lists and stats on lineup pages, then calculates the optimal lineup combination based on projected points and position requirements. The tool considers salary cap constraints and finds the best players for each position, including FLEX slots. The compact optimizer overlay shows the recommended lineup with each player's position, name, projected points, and total salary used. This helps fantasy players quickly build the highest-scoring lineup within their budget.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on any website that displays fantasy sports player lists, including daily fantasy sites, season-long fantasy platforms, and lineup builder pages. It functions on DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo Fantasy, ESPN Fantasy, and other fantasy sports sites. The tool works across all domains and adapts to various stat display formats.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension and navigate to any page with fantasy player lists and stats. Click "Optimize Lineup" to generate the optimal lineup. The optimizer overlay appears showing the recommended players with their positions, projected points, and salary. Use the overlay panel to customize the experience: adjust the salary cap (default 50,000), set the positions required (comma-separated, e.g., QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,TE,FLEX), choose the optimization metric (Projected Points or Actual Points), toggle the optimizer overlay on or off, and click "Refresh" to manually re-run the optimization. The status area shows how many players were detected.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PLAYER DETECTION AND OPTIMIZATION ENGINE

The extension uses a multi-strategy detection engine to find fantasy players on any page. It scans tables and player lists for rows with names and numeric values, extracting player name, position, salary, and projected points. The optimization engine uses a greedy algorithm that fills required positions first, then fills remaining slots with the best available players within the salary cap. Positions are detected from the page or inferred from the data. The optimizer respects position requirements and FLEX eligibility, providing a lineup that maximizes projected points while staying under the salary cap. The algorithm handles missing data gracefully, only including players with both salary and projected points.

THE PANEL — DRAG / PER-SITE POSITION / SNAP / COLLAPSE / RESIZE / ESCAPE

The overlay panel is fully interactive and designed for seamless multitasking. Drag it anywhere on the screen using the handle at the top of the panel; the position is saved per site so it stays where you left it across sessions. The panel includes a snap-to-edge feature that gently anchors the overlay to the nearest screen edge when released. Click the collapse button to minimize the panel to a compact pill showing the current lineup status; expand it again with a single click. Resize the panel vertically by dragging the bottom-right corner to view more controls. Press the Escape key at any time to instantly close the overlay; it reappears on the next page navigation or refresh.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz companion extension to function, as it provides the underlying content script injection and cross-origin communication framework. No personal data, browsing history, or fantasy data is stored, transmitted, or shared. Settings are stored locally in your browser using GM_setValue and are never sent to any external server. The extension does not access or store login credentials, financial data, or personally identifiable information. The tool reads player information visible on the page and does not access any fantasy sports API or private data. The optimization algorithm is a simple greedy approach and may not find the absolute optimal combination for all cases, especially with complex position requirements and salary constraints. The tool is for informational and planning purposes only and should not be used as the sole basis for lineup decisions.
