About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Front Web Shared Inbox Assignment Badge automatically scans Front shared inbox and conversation pages to extract comprehensive assignment data including assignee name, conversation status, assignment count, and team member workload. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of conversation assignments with color-coded indicators—green for assigned, yellow for unassigned, and red for high workload. Summary statistics show total conversations, assigned count, and unassigned count. The "Team Workload" section lists each team member with their conversation count and a workload bar, highlighting members with high workload (5+ conversations) in yellow. Unassigned conversations are prominently displayed with an alert. Quick stats show team size, average workload, and assigned/unassigned distribution. This provides a complete, organized view of inbox assignments and helps balance team workload.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension operates exclusively on frontapp.com domain pages that contain shared inbox and conversation content—specifically pages with "/inbox", "/conversations", "/shared", or "/dashboard" in the URL path, or pages that display conversation lists and assignment information. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The assignment badge runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All assignment data extraction, workload analysis, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your inbox data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.
HOW TO USE
After installing both BotGentz and this assignment badge, navigate to any Front shared inbox or conversation page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total conversations, assigned count, and unassigned count. The "Team Workload" section shows each team member with their conversation count and workload bar—members with high workload are highlighted. The "Unassigned Alert" section shows the number of conversations needing assignment. Quick stats display team size, average workload, and assigned/unassigned distribution. The panel provides a complete, organized view of inbox assignments and helps you balance team workload.
ASSIGNMENT DATA EXTRACTION AND WORKLOAD ANALYSIS
The assignment badge uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse assignment data from Front pages. It first attempts to find structured conversation and assignment elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "conversation-item," "conversation-row," "inbox-item," and "assignment-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for assignment-related patterns using pattern matching for assignee names, status labels, and unassigned indicators. Assignee names are extracted through pattern matching for "assigned to" or "assignee" labels with name patterns. Conversation status is determined through keyword detection for "Closed," "Pending," "Archived," or "Open." Assignment counts are aggregated by assignee name. Unassigned conversations are identified through keyword detection for "unassigned" or "not assigned." Workload analysis categorizes team members with 5 or more conversations as high workload. All data is presented in a clean, organized panel with color-coded indicators.
THE PANEL
The assignment badge panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Front inbox page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage assignments. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and assignment tracking preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the assignment badge does not work standalone. Front occasionally updates its page layouts and conversation presentation formats, which may temporarily affect assignment data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts assignment data from the visible page content; if conversation lists are loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. High workload classification uses a threshold of 5 conversations and is provided as a reference—adjust based on your team's capacity. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all assignment data extraction, workload analysis, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal team management and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Front or its parent company. Assignment data is subject to Front's terms; always review your official Front account for authoritative inbox information.
