About this app
WHAT IT DOES
GetMyBoat Web Booking Confirmation Overlay automatically scans GetMyBoat booking confirmation pages and extracts all key booking details including boat name, booking date and time, duration, total price, booking reference number, and cancellation policy. The tool displays a floating overlay panel that summarizes all confirmation details in a clean, easy-to-read format, eliminating the need to hunt through page text for important information. The booking reference number is prominently highlighted in a special badge for quick access. When booking start dates and times are available, the panel shows a countdown to help you track upcoming trips. You can save booking details for future reference, and the tool automatically maintains a history of all confirmed bookings across sessions, so you can easily reference past trips.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension operates exclusively on getmyboat.com domain pages that contain booking confirmation content—specifically pages with "/booking/", "/confirmation", or "/trip/" in the URL path, or pages that display booking confirmation details. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The booking confirmation overlay runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All booking data extraction, history storage, and preference management occurs on your machine, ensuring your booking activity and trip history remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.
HOW TO USE
After installing both BotGentz and this confirmation overlay, simply navigate to any GetMyBoat booking confirmation page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying your booking details. The "Confirmation" section prominently shows your booking reference number in a highlighted badge, along with the boat name. The "Details" section lists all key booking information including date, time, duration, number of guests, total price, and location when available. The "Cancellation Policy" section displays the full cancellation policy text extracted from the page. The "Recent Bookings" section shows your last three confirmed bookings with boat names, dates, references, and prices, providing a convenient history of your trips. All bookings are automatically saved to your history as you confirm them.
BOOKING DATA EXTRACTION AND REFERENCE MANAGEMENT
The booking confirmation overlay uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse booking details from GetMyBoat confirmation pages. It first attempts to find structured booking elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "booking-confirmation," "confirmation-details," and page elements with booking-related classes. When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for key indicators using pattern matching for terms like "ref," "reference," "booking," "confirmation," "total," "paid," "date," "time," and "cancellation." The reference number is extracted through pattern matching for alphanumeric codes of 6-12 characters typically used by GetMyBoat. Boat names are extracted from heading elements or through pattern matching for common boat naming conventions. Price extraction uses currency pattern matching with dollar amounts, and date/time extraction uses common date format patterns. The history system stores each confirmed booking with its reference number, boat name, date, time, price, and timestamp, checking for duplicates to avoid storing the same booking multiple times and limiting history to the last 50 entries for performance.
THE PANEL
The booking confirmation panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the GetMyBoat confirmation page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you review your booking details. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and booking history data are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the booking confirmation overlay does not work standalone. GetMyBoat occasionally updates its page layouts and confirmation presentation formats, which may temporarily affect data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts booking data from the visible page content; if confirmation details are loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. The booking history is stored locally for your reference and convenience—it does not sync with your GetMyBoat account. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all booking data extraction, history storage, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal booking management assistance and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GetMyBoat or its parent company. Booking details and cancellation policies are subject to change; always confirm details on the official GetMyBoat confirmation page.
