About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Hopin Web Booth Visit Tracker automatically scans Hopin event and expo pages to extract comprehensive booth data including booth name, exhibitor name, booth category (Sponsor, Exhibitor, Partner, Startup, Educational, Other), visit status, and booth materials (Brochure, Video, Demo, Giveaway, Presentation, Flyer). The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of booth visits with total booths, visited booths, unvisited booths, and a visual exploration progress bar. Unvisited booths are highlighted for attention. Each booth displays its name, exhibitor, category, materials, and visit status. You can mark booths as visited with a single click, and your visit history is saved across sessions. This provides a complete, organized view of your expo exploration and helps you track which booths you have already visited.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension operates exclusively on hopin.com domain pages that contain event and expo content—specifically pages with "/event", "/expo", "/booth", or "/session" in the URL path, or pages that display booth listings and expo halls. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The booth visit tracker runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All booth data extraction, visit tracking, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your expo data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.
HOW TO USE
After installing both BotGentz and this booth tracker, navigate to any Hopin event expo or booth page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total booths, visited booths, unvisited booths, and an exploration progress bar. The "Booths" section lists each booth with its name, exhibitor, category, materials, and visit status—unvisited booths are shown with a yellow status, visited booths are crossed out and dimmed. Click "Mark Visited" next to any booth to track it as visited, or "Unmark" to revert. Your visit history is saved automatically across sessions. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your expo exploration progress.
BOOTH DATA EXTRACTION AND VISIT TRACKING
The booth visit tracker uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse booth data from Hopin pages. It first attempts to find structured booth elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "booth-item," "booth-card," "expo-booth," and "exhibitor-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for booth-related patterns using pattern matching for booth names, exhibitor names, and category keywords. Booth names are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Exhibitor names are extracted through pattern matching for "by" labels or element selectors. Booth categories are classified using a comprehensive keyword mapping system: "sponsor," "premium," "gold," "silver," or "platinum" maps to Sponsor; "exhibitor," "exhibit," or "showcase" to Exhibitor; "partner," "affiliate," or "collaborator" to Partner; "startup," "new," or "emerging" to Startup; "education," "learning," "workshop," or "training" to Educational. Booth materials are detected through keyword detection for "Brochure," "Video," "Demo," "Giveaway," "Presentation," or "Flyer." Visit status is stored using GM_setValue and persists across sessions. Visited booths are visually distinguished with crossed-out text and reduced opacity.
THE PANEL
The booth visit tracker panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Hopin expo page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you explore booths. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and visit history are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the booth visit tracker does not work standalone. Hopin occasionally updates its page layouts and expo presentation formats, which may temporarily affect booth data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts booth data from the visible page content; if booth information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Category classification is based on keyword detection and may not capture all booth types with perfect accuracy. Visit tracking is for personal reference only and does not affect your Hopin account. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all booth data extraction, visit tracking, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal expo exploration and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hopin or its parent company. Event booth availability and details are subject to change; always review your official Hopin event platform for authoritative expo information.
