IXL Progress Summary Badge

WHAT IT DOES

IXL Progress Summary Badge scans the current page for IXL Learning activity data including skill scores, questions answered, time spent, and mastery levels. A floating badge appears showing overall progress percentage, questions completed, and current streak at a glance. The detailed panel provides a full breakdown of skill-by-skill scores, time-on-task tracking, recommended next skills, and mastery progression. Skills needing improvement are highlighted with color-coded indicators, and the data can be exported as formatted text or CSV for tracking progress over time.

WHERE IT RUNS

Works on any web page, including IXL Learning practice pages, skill tracking dashboards, and student progress reports. The script intelligently detects IXL-specific elements including skill scores, question counters, mastery indicators, and recommended skills lists. It works best on IXL.com but can also detect learning progress data on other educational platforms.

HOW TO USE

The badge appears automatically in the corner of your screen showing overall progress, questions answered, and streak. Click the badge to open the detailed panel with full progress insights. View current skill, mastery level, overall progress percentage, questions answered, time spent, and a list of all skills with individual scores. The panel also shows recommended next skills and color-coded progress indicators (red for needs work, orange for fair, yellow for good, green for excellent). Export progress data as formatted text or CSV for tracking or sharing with teachers and parents. Customize the badge position and progress thresholds in the settings section.

MECHANISM — PROGRESS EXTRACTION WITH DAILY STREAK TRACKING

The script uses targeted CSS selectors to extract IXL-specific elements including .score, .skill-score, .questions-answered, and .time-spent. It extracts current skill names, mastery levels, and individual skill scores from the page. For streak tracking, the script maintains a local history of daily activity using GM_setValue, checking each day to determine consecutive days of activity. If a user has activity today, the streak increments backward through previous days until a gap is found. The history stores up to 50 entries, allowing long-term streak tracking without external services. All extraction and history management runs entirely client-side.

THE PANEL

The floating panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per domain. Click the minimize button to collapse it to a small bubble, or press Escape to hide it. The panel automatically adjusts to different screen sizes and can be resized to show more content. All settings, including badge position, progress thresholds, and streak tracking preferences, are saved per domain. The panel integrates smoothly with any page layout using the BGPanel framework, maintaining clean separation from page content.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz extension to run. It does not send any data to external servers; all extracted progress data and settings remain entirely local to your browser using GM_setValue. The script never reads password fields, hidden inputs, or file inputs. It stores only progress data from publicly visible page content, your configuration settings, and daily activity history for streak tracking. Data extraction depends on the page structure; if data is not detected, use the "Rescan Page" button to refresh extraction. Data persists across browser sessions and is isolated per browser profile.
