Savings compared to window prices are shown when available, helping you see exactly how much you're saving by booking through Liftopia. Multi-day deals and group discounts are highlighted with special badges. All resort and date search preferences are saved automatically across sessions, so you can quickly return to your comparisons.

This extension operates exclusively on liftopia.com domain pages that contain ticket listings—specifically pages with "/lift-tickets" or "/resort/" in the URL path, or pages that display lift ticket availability and pricing. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The price comparison tool runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All ticket data extraction, price comparison calculations, and preference storage occurs on your machine, ensuring your browsing activity and search preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this price comparison tool, navigate to any Liftopia resort ticket listing page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a "Price Summary" section with the lowest, highest, average, and range of ticket prices for the current resort and date. The "Best Value Ticket" section highlights the most affordable option with a green badge, showing the ticket type, price, and any savings compared to window prices—multi-day and group discount badges appear when applicable. The "All Tickets" section lists every available ticket type sorted by price, showing the ticket type, price, savings versus window price, and resort name. Date information is displayed when available. All ticket prices are shown before taxes and fees, with a note reminding you of this.

TICKET DATA EXTRACTION AND PRICE COMPARISON

The price comparison tool uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse ticket data from Liftopia's listing pages. It first attempts to find structured ticket elements using selectors based on Liftopia's typical class naming patterns, including "ticket-card," "ticket-item," "price-card," and "product-card." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for currency patterns to identify ticket prices and their associated ticket types. For each detected ticket, the tool extracts the resort name through element selection or pattern matching for common ski resort naming conventions, date through regex pattern matching for MM/DD/YYYY or Month DD, YYYY formats, ticket type through keyword detection for "Child," "Senior," "Youth," or "Family" labels, and price through currency extraction ($XX.XX). Window prices are extracted through pattern matching for "Window Price" or "Regular Price" labels. Multi-day deals are identified through keyword detection for "multi-day," "2-day," "3-day," or "flex" labels, and group discounts are identified through "group," "bulk," "discount," or "save" keywords. The comparison engine calculates summary statistics and identifies the best value option.

THE PANEL

The price comparison panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Liftopia ticket page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you browse ticket options. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position and collapse state preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the price comparison tool does not work standalone. Liftopia occasionally updates its page layouts and ticket presentation formats, which may temporarily affect data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts ticket data from the visible page content; if tickets are loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Price comparisons are based on the data extracted from the current page view and may not reflect all available ticket options. Savings versus window prices are shown when the data is available on the page. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all ticket data, price comparisons, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
