LinkedIn Bulk Job Alert Manager solves a common job search management challenge: managing multiple LinkedIn job alerts is tedious when done one at a time. While LinkedIn allows individual alert management, there is no native way to enable, disable, or delete multiple alerts simultaneously. This tool reads your current LinkedIn job alerts page, detects all visible job alerts, and displays them in a scrollable checklist with alert names, search queries, frequency, and status. You can select multiple alerts and perform bulk actions: enable, disable, or delete selected alerts. The tool also supports filtering by status (active/inactive), shows a preview of selected alerts before action, and provides progress tracking as each alert is processed. You can export a report of all alert data as CSV or JSON.

This extension panel runs directly inside your browser as an overlay on LinkedIn's job alerts management page. It works on the saved searches and alert management views. The tool detects alerts from the page's DOM and uses DOM manipulation to interact with the alert management interface. It requires no additional API keys or permissions beyond the BotGentz extension.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and activating LinkedIn Bulk Job Alert Manager, navigate to your LinkedIn job alerts page (saved searches or alert management). Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the panel. The tool automatically detects all job alerts displayed on the current page. Each alert appears with its name, search query, frequency, and status (active/inactive) alongside a checkbox. Use the filter dropdown to view only active or inactive alerts. Check the boxes for the alerts you want to manage. The preview section shows how many alerts are selected. Choose an action: Enable Selected, Disable Selected, or Delete Selected. For delete actions, a second confirmation dialog appears. The tool processes each alert sequentially with a 400ms delay, showing progress as each action is completed. Click "Export Report" to copy a report of all alert data to your clipboard in CSV or JSON format. Click "Refresh Alerts" to reload the list.

TECHNICAL OPERATION — DOM-Based Alert Detection and Bulk Action Automation

This tool detects alert elements using selectors like `[data-alert-id]`, `.alert-item`, and `.saved-search-item`, extracting alert names, search queries, frequency, and status from their respective elements. For each alert, the tool identifies the "More" button (options menu) using selectors like `[aria-label*="More"]`, `.more-button`, or `.options-button`. When performing an action, the tool clicks the "More" button to open the dropdown menu, then finds and clicks the appropriate menu item (Enable, Disable, or Delete). For delete actions, the tool also handles the confirmation dialog that appears. The tool respects a 400ms delay between actions to prevent UI congestion and ensure each operation completes. Results can be filtered by status and exported as CSV with proper field quoting for Excel compatibility, or as structured JSON.

THE PANEL

The extension panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per site session. It snaps to the nearest edge of the browser viewport when dragged within 50 pixels of any side. You can collapse the panel to a compact title bar using the minimize button, preserving your selection state. The panel resizes vertically by dragging the bottom edge. Press the Escape key to close the panel instantly. The preview updates in real-time as you select alerts.

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension to function. The script operates by simulating clicks on LinkedIn's interface and does not use LinkedIn's official API. It only sees alerts that are currently rendered in the page's DOM. For best results, ensure you're on LinkedIn's job alerts management page. LinkedIn's UI structure may change over time, which could affect alert detection and action flows; we monitor and release compatibility updates as needed. The tool does not store, transmit, or log any alert data, search queries, or user activity. All operations occur locally in your browser session. Delete actions are permanent and cannot be undone through this tool — use with caution. Export formats include CSV and JSON for maximum compatibility with analysis tools.
