About this app

WHAT IT DOES

New Token Due Diligence Summary analyzes a token contract and summarizes the findings in plain English before you buy, swap, or approve it. The tool reads the token contract to fetch the name, symbol, decimals, total supply, and holder count. It scans the bytecode to detect owner/admin controls, mint and burn functions, upgradeable proxy patterns, trading restrictions (blacklist/whitelist/pause), and selfdestruct opcodes. It also estimates the contract age and checks for impersonation of legitimate tokens. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language due diligence summary: what the token is, who controls it, whether it can be minted or upgraded, how many holders it has, any red flags, and whether you should consider interacting with it. Results include a risk level, token details, owner information, mint capability, upgradeability status, trading restrictions, contract age, holder count, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated summary. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI assessment is designed to help you identify scam tokens before you interact with them.

HOW TO USE

Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the token is deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the token contract address you wish to research. Optionally enter the token name if you know it — this helps the impersonation detection. Click "Run due diligence" to begin the analysis. The tool reads the token contract and bytecode, detects risk patterns, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English due diligence summary. Results appear within seconds, showing the token contract, chain, risk level, token name and symbol, total supply, holder count, owner address, mint capability, upgradeability status, trading restrictions, contract age, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated summary written in clear, conversational language.

TOKEN RISK DETECTION AND SCORING

The tool uses a pattern-based approach to detect token risks from the contract bytecode. It scans for owner/admin patterns (owner, admin) to identify central control, mint functions to detect supply inflation risk, burn functions, delegatecall with implementation for upgradeable proxy patterns, blacklist/whitelist/pause for trading restrictions, and selfdestruct for critical risk. The tool also estimates contract age from bytecode complexity (30-400+ days) and checks for impersonation by comparing the token name against a list of known legitimate tokens (UNI, ARB, OP, MATIC, WETH, USDC, USDT, DAI, AAVE, CRV, BAL, LINK). The risk score is calculated based on: mint capability (2 points), proxy/upgradeability (1 point), trading restrictions (1 point), low holder count under 100 (1 point), impersonation risk (2 points), and selfdestruct (3 points). The AI receives all this data and is prompted to summarize the due diligence findings in plain language — stating what the token is, who controls it, whether it can be minted or upgraded, how many holders it has, and any red flags. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it checks on-chain signals and patterns, not the project's team legitimacy, off-chain promises, or future token value.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot definitively verify that a token is legitimate — only checks on-chain signals and known scam patterns. It cannot detect off-chain fraud, social engineering, or project legitimacy — it cannot tell you whether the team is real, the website is legitimate, or the project has a credible roadmap. The tool cannot verify the team's identity or reputation — it only reads on-chain data. It cannot predict future token value or market performance — a token with good on-chain signals could still fail or be worthless. Legitimate tokens with unusual tokenomics may trigger false positives — some legitimate projects use proxy patterns, minting, or complex tokenomics that resemble scam patterns. The tool cannot detect if the token has been exploited or hacked. The tool cannot detect if the token is being used in a rug pull or exit scam. The tool cannot verify that the token has liquidity or that the liquidity is locked. The tool cannot detect if the token's name or symbol is being used in a phishing attack.

PLEASE NOTE

New Token Due Diligence Summary supports EVM-compatible chains only (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and others). The tool is read-only and never requests wallet signatures or transaction approvals. Due diligence summaries are AI-generated from on-chain data — always verify token legitimacy through official project channels and independent research. The AI summary is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice. Never interact with a token you have not independently verified as legitimate. When in doubt, do not trade or approve the token.
