WHAT IT DOES

Offer Letter Value Calculator is a floating calculator panel that computes the total value of a job offer. Enter base salary, bonus percentage, equity/stock grant value, vesting period, signing bonus, relocation package, and benefits value. The panel calculates first-year total compensation (including one-time items) and recurring annual compensation (base + bonus + equity + benefits). This helps you compare multiple job offers and understand the full compensation picture.

This script runs on any website you visit. It reads only the page you are looking at, never other tabs, bookmarks, or browser data. All data stays in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.

HOW TO USE

Click the Offer Letter Value Calculator panel button in the BotGentz extension toolbar. The panel appears at the edge of the page. Enter your base salary, bonus percentage, equity value and vesting period, signing bonus, relocation, and benefits value. The panel updates instantly — showing each component, first-year total, and recurring total. Use "Copy Summary" to copy the full breakdown to your clipboard. You can save your default values — they persist across pages.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The calculator uses standard compensation formulas: Bonus = Base × (Bonus % / 100). Equity per year = Equity Value / Vesting Years. First-Year Total = Base + Bonus + Equity/Year + Signing Bonus + Relocation + Benefits. Recurring Total = Base + Bonus + Equity/Year + Benefits. All calculations run client-side in pure JavaScript, with real-time updates as you type. The panel provides a clear breakdown of each compensation component and distinguishes between one-time and recurring items.

THE PANEL

The panel is a floating overlay that you can drag anywhere on the screen by its header. It remembers its position per site so it reappears where you left it. The panel can be collapsed into a small handle to get it out of the way, and snapped to the edge of the page. It can be resized to fit your workflow. Press Escape to close the panel.
