About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Panel Discussion Summarizer is a productivity tool that analyzes panel discussion descriptions, speaker bios, and transcripts from any webpage, then generates a structured summary of the panel. It identifies the discussion topic, each panelist's key viewpoint or contribution, notable points of agreement or disagreement among panelists, and any concluding takeaways for the audience, then produces a clear, well-organized summary that captures the essential content of the panel. You can choose between a structured (sections) or narrative (paragraph) style, review the summary in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for your reference, for sharing with colleagues, or for use in your own content.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying panel discussion descriptions, speaker bios, transcripts, or similar panel content. Common sources include conference websites, event platforms, professional development portals, and video hosting sites with panel discussions.
HOW TO USE
Navigate to any page that displays a panel discussion description, speaker bios, or transcript. Open the BotGentz extension and select Panel Discussion Summarizer from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Select your preferred style (structured sections or narrative paragraph) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Summarize Panel" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant panel content and sends it to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a structured panel summary in the panel. Review the summary, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for your reference.
TECHNICAL SECTION — PANEL DISCUSSION AND SPEAKER EXTRACTION
This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on panel discussion and group conversation communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing panel indicators such as "panel," "discussion," "speaker," "panelist," "topic," "viewpoint," "agreement," "disagreement," "takeaway," "transcript," and "moderator." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the panel data and surrounding structural markers (speaker names, topic headings, transcript segments). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a panel discussion context using features like panel language frequency ("panel," "speaker," "panelist," "moderator," "viewpoint"), speaker markers, and argument indicators. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the topic, individual panelist viewpoints, points of agreement or disagreement, and concluding takeaways. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's style preference, are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a structured summary covering the key categories, reducing hallucination and ensuring accurate, contextually appropriate insights.
THE PANEL
The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI summarization feature. AI-generated panel summaries are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy before relying on them, as interpretations may occasionally miss panel nuances or misread speaker viewpoints. Websites change their panel page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
