Price Match Request Drafter is a shopping tool that analyzes product listings, pricing, and competitor information from any webpage, then drafts a professional, clear email requesting a price match. It identifies the product name, the store's current price, the competitor's lower price, and any visible price match policy information, then generates a well-structured request that references the specific product, states the competitor's lower price, mentions the store's price match policy, and requests the price adjustment. You can choose between a polite or assertive style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or the store's customer service portal.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying product listings, pricing, and competitor information. Common sources include Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and other retailers offering price matching, as well as competitor websites.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a product listing, pricing, or competitor information for a price match request. Open the BotGentz extension and select Price Match Request Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Enter the competitor name, competitor price, and optionally the product name and any price match policy notes. Select your preferred style (polite or assertive) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Request" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant product and pricing details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a professional, clear price match request email in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PRICING AND COMPETITOR DETAIL EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on retail pricing and competitor communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing pricing indicators such as "price," "cost," "sale," "discount," "original price," "competitor," "match," "policy," "refund," and "adjustment." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the product data and surrounding structural markers (price tags, sale badges, competitor references, policy descriptions). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a price match context using features like pricing language frequency ("$," "price," "sale," "was," "now"), competitor references, and policy markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the product name and details, the store's current price, any competitor references, and the price match policy information. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, competitor name, competitor price, product name, policy note, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete price match request with standardized sections (introduction, product reference, competitor price statement, policy mention, request for adjustment, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

AI-generated price match requests are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and completeness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss pricing details or misread competitor information. Websites change their product page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
