WHAT IT DOES

Roku Web Channel Store Organizer reads channel information from Roku channel store and account pages and displays an organized channel list with categories and install status. Each channel shows its name, category (e.g., Entertainment, Sports, Lifestyle), and install status—Installed or Available. The panel shows a summary of total channels, installed channels, and unique categories. Channels can be sorted by name, category, or install status. A favorites system lets you star channels for quick access, with favorite channels highlighted in gold. A per-channel note feature lets you add notes, and a quick navigation feature opens channel details in a new tab. The panel also shows a note indicator for channels with saved notes.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all Roku pages at roku.com and its subdomains, specifically on the channel store, account pages, and any page displaying channel information. It runs on the channel store page, the account dashboard, and any page showing channel listings. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Roku's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to roku.com and open the channel store or your account page. The extension automatically scans the page and displays an organized channel list in the panel. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the panel. Use the sort dropdown to sort by Name, Category, or Install Status. The "Show installed channels" toggle controls whether installed channels appear in the list. Click any channel row to open its details in a new tab. Click the star icon to add or remove a channel from favorites. Add notes using the note input field—notes save automatically. The "Refresh" button manually updates the panel with the latest channel information.

CHANNEL EXTRACTION WITH CATEGORY DETECTION AND PER-CHANNEL ORGANIZATION

Unlike simple channel listers, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find channel information from Roku's varying page structures. It searches for channels using multiple selector patterns (.channel-item, .channel-card, .channel-tile) and falls back to text parsing. For each channel, it extracts the name, category (from category or genre elements), and install status (from status elements or text matching). Per-channel data (favorites and notes) is stored as a key-value object where keys are channel IDs. Favorite channels are stored separately as an array for fast lookup. The sorting engine supports three sort modes—name, category, and install status—and applies them to the displayed channel list. The extension detects installed status by checking for keywords like "installed," "added," or "installed" in status elements or text content.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on roku.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, sort preference, installed channels visibility, favorites, and channel notes, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Roku's website changes periodically, and channel element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting channels until an update is released. The extension stores your sort preference, installed channels visibility, favorites, and per-channel notes locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Channel notes are stored as a key-value object where keys are channel IDs and values contain notes. The channel list is based on channels visible on the page—the extension does not access Roku's internal channel database. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for roku.com.
