WHAT IT DOES

Rover Web Booking Calendar Overlay automatically scans Rover booking and calendar pages to extract comprehensive booking data including service type (Dog Walking, Dog Sitting, Boarding, Drop-In Visits, House Sitting), pet name, date range, total price, booking status (Upcoming, Confirmed, Pending, Completed, Cancelled), and upcoming appointments. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a calendar view of upcoming bookings with a countdown to the next booking. Confirmed bookings are highlighted with green indicators, pending requests with yellow, and upcoming bookings with blue. A summary shows total earnings, upcoming bookings count, and pending requests count. Pending requests are displayed separately for attention. This provides a complete, organized view of your Rover booking calendar and helps you stay on top of your schedule.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on rover.com domain pages that contain booking and calendar content—specifically pages with "/bookings", "/calendar", "/dashboard", or "/sitter" in the URL path, or pages that display booking listings and calendar views. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The booking calendar overlay runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All booking data extraction, calendar organization, and tracking preferences are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your booking data and scheduling preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this booking calendar overlay, navigate to any Rover bookings or calendar page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total earnings, upcoming bookings, and pending requests. The "Upcoming" section lists all upcoming and confirmed bookings with pet name, service type, date range, price, and status badge. Pending requests are shown separately in a "Pending Requests" section for quick attention. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your booking calendar and helps you track all your appointments.

BOOKING DATA EXTRACTION AND CALENDAR ORGANIZATION

The booking calendar overlay uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse booking data from Rover pages. It first attempts to find structured booking elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "booking-item," "booking-card," "appointment-item," and "service-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for booking-related patterns using pattern matching for service keywords and dollar amounts. Pet names are extracted through pattern matching for "pet:" labels or capitalized names near service descriptions. Service types are classified using a comprehensive keyword mapping system: "walk" or "walking" maps to Dog Walking; "sit" or "sitting" to Dog Sitting; "board" or "boarding" to Boarding; "drop-in" or "visit" to Drop-In Visits; and "house sit" or "house sitting" to House Sitting. Date ranges are extracted through pattern matching for date ranges, prices through pattern matching for dollar amounts, and statuses through keyword detection for "Confirmed," "Pending," "Completed," or "Cancelled." Earnings totals are extracted through pattern matching for total earnings labels. Bookings are organized by status with upcoming and confirmed bookings displayed prominently.

THE PANEL

The booking calendar overlay panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Rover bookings page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage your bookings. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and calendar view preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the booking calendar overlay does not work standalone. Rover occasionally updates its page layouts and booking presentation formats, which may temporarily affect booking data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts booking data from the visible page content; if booking information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Service type classification is based on keyword detection and may not capture all service types with perfect accuracy. Booking statuses are extracted from the page and are for reference only. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all booking data extraction, calendar organization, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
