Seller Question Drafter is a shopping tool that analyzes product listings, seller information, and item details from any webpage, then drafts a polite, specific question to a seller or marketplace vendor. It identifies the product name, seller details, and any listing information, then generates a well-structured question that asks for clarification on one or two key details such as condition, availability, shipping options, compatibility, or return policy. You can choose between a friendly or direct style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in the marketplace's messaging system.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying product listings, seller information, or item details. Common sources include Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and other e-commerce or peer-to-peer marketplaces.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a product listing, seller information, or item details. Open the BotGentz extension and select Seller Question Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Select the topic of your question (condition, availability, shipping, compatibility, return policy, or other). Optionally, add specific question details. Select your preferred style (friendly or direct) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Question" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant product and seller details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a polite, specific seller question in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in the marketplace's messaging system.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PRODUCT AND SELLER DETAIL EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on e-commerce and marketplace communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing product and seller indicators such as "product," "item," "seller," "vendor," "condition," "shipping," "availability," "compatibility," "return," "policy," "description," and "details." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the product data and surrounding structural markers (product names, seller names, condition labels, shipping information). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a product listing or seller context using features like product language frequency ("item," "condition," "brand," "model"), seller references, and policy markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into five core categories: the product name and description, seller information, condition and availability, shipping details, and return policy. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, topic, question details, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete seller question with standardized sections (greeting, product reference, specific question, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI drafting feature. AI-generated seller questions are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss listing details or misread seller information. Websites change their product page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
