WHAT IT DOES

Social Media Bio Rewriter reads the current profile page, extracts the user's existing bio or description text, and sends it to the AI to rewrite it in a selected style. You can choose from five styles — professional, creative, casual, concise, or keyword-rich — and select the desired bio length (short, medium, or long). The tool also offers options to include emojis, include keywords, and specify a target audience for more tailored results. The rewritten bio is presented in the panel for review, and you can copy it to your clipboard or regenerate a new version.

WHERE IT RUNS

This userscript runs inside major social media platforms including Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok in your browser, powered by the free BotGentz extension. It operates entirely on the page you are viewing — it reads the bio from your profile page and sends it to the AI backend for rewriting. All AI processing happens remotely, but your bio text is only sent for the purpose of rewriting it.

HOW TO USE

Install the BotGentz extension and ensure you have an active subscription, then install this userscript from the BotGentz catalogue. Navigate to your profile page on any supported platform — Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok. Open the tool panel, select your desired bio style from the dropdown, choose the bio length, and toggle the options to include emojis or keywords. Optionally, enter a target audience for more tailored results. Click "Rewrite Bio" to generate a new version. The tool will display your original bio and the rewritten version. Review the rewritten bio, then click "Copy Rewritten" to copy it to your clipboard, or "Regenerate" to try a different version. You can also use the manual input field to paste a bio that isn't on a profile page.

HOW IT WORKS UNDER THE HOOD

The script first attempts to extract the bio using WebMCP if available — the new W3C proposal for structured browser tools — which allows direct, typed access to profile data without DOM scraping. If WebMCP is not available, the script falls back to a multi-strategy DOM extraction approach, scanning for bio content using platform-specific selectors like .bio, .profile-bio, .description, .about-section, and [data-testid="UserDescription"]. It also searches for profile containers to find bio-like text. The extracted bio is then sent to the AI backend via a secure API call with your subscription key. The AI processes the input with a system prompt that instructs it to rewrite the bio in the selected style, length, and with the specified options — emojis, keywords, and target audience — and caps the output at 1,024 tokens. The response is presented in the panel for review.

THE PANEL

The tool runs in the BotGentz panel, a draggable floating interface that stays on top of the page. You can drag the panel by its header, collapse it to a small bubble, and resize it. The panel remembers its position per site, so it stays where you left it when you return to the platform. Press Escape to close the panel when you are done. The panel includes settings for style, length, emojis, keywords, and target audience, a display area showing the original and rewritten bios, and action buttons for rewriting, copying, regenerating, and saving settings.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to the AI service. AI-generated bios should be reviewed before use — they are drafts, not final responses. The tool works only on the current page and may not detect all bios depending on platform structure. Social media platforms frequently update their interfaces — if the tool stops working, check for an updated version or report the issue. Your bio text is only sent to the AI backend for the purpose of rewriting it; no data is stored permanently. The manual input field can be used as a fallback for unsupported platforms or when automatic extraction is incomplete.
