About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Spending Limit Time-Window Configurer enables precise configuration of spending limits with time-based restrictions. It reads comprehensive state from spending limit contracts including current spending limit, time window duration, limit reset frequency, consumed amount, remaining allowance, window start and end times, limit override status, platform fees, authorization status, and configuration history. Users can configure limits using multiple methods: setSpendingLimit with token and override options, configureTimeWindow with reset frequency, updateLimitWindow with bulk configuration, or setAllowanceWindow with full parameter control. The tool displays consumed amounts and remaining allowance within the current window, providing real-time visibility into spending capacity.

HOW TO USE

Connect your Web3 wallet and paste the spending limit contract address. The tool never hardcodes addresses—you specify the contract you're vouching for. Select the configuration method, enter the spending limit amount, time window duration in seconds, and reset frequency in seconds (for periodic limits). Optionally specify a token address for token-specific limits, check "Approve token spending" to handle approvals automatically, "Override existing limit" to replace current settings, or "Bulk configure multiple tokens" for multi-token configuration. Click "Fetch current configuration" to view current spending limit, time window, reset frequency, consumed amount, remaining allowance, window start/end times, limit override status, platform fee, authorization status, and configuration history. Review the displayed state and consumption data carefully—spending limits protect wallet assets by restricting outflows. Click "Configure limit" to submit the configuration transaction. Transaction status, gas costs, and confirmation are displayed upon completion.

MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE: COMPREHENSIVE LIMIT STATE AGGREGATION WITH CONSUMPTION TRACKING

Unlike hardcoded limit tools that only show the configured limit, this tool fetches nine different state variables in parallel using Promise.all with individual error boundaries, ensuring that a revert in one view function doesn't prevent retrieval of other critical metrics. The tool automatically calculates and displays consumed amount and remaining allowance within the current time window, providing real-time spending visibility. The tool automatically discovers configuration history by iterating through event indices until it hits empty entries (capped at 10 for performance), displaying executor addresses, limits, windows, and status for full transparency. The tool dynamically selects the appropriate configuration method based on user input—setSpendingLimit with override, configureTimeWindow with reset, updateLimitWindow with bulk, and setAllowanceWindow with full parameter control. Gas estimation factors in configuration method complexity, and the tool uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice post-transaction for accurate cost reporting rather than relying on the pre-EIP-1559 gasPrice cap. Limit override status and authorization status are displayed prominently, enabling informed configuration decisions.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the wallet contract or spending limit contract is legitimate or has not been compromised. It cannot detect if the configuration parameters have been manipulated or if the contracts have been upgraded or modified. Configuration may not execute at optimal gas price due to network conditions or succeed if the contract is paused or frozen. The tool cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs or insufficient approval. It cannot verify that configuration parameters are valid, predict gas prices during congestion, or detect if the configuration has been front-run. The tool cannot ensure that the spending limit will be enforced, provide financial or security advice, guarantee that the time window will be respected, verify off-chain spending tracking, ensure that all token limits are configured correctly, or track configuration status outside of the tool. Spending limits rely on contract enforcement—the tool cannot prevent spending if the contract is bypassed or compromised.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool operates on EVM-compatible chains only. It reads from and writes to spending limit contracts but provides no financial or security advice. All configuration decisions remain your responsibility. Always verify contract addresses, limit amounts, and time window parameters before submitting transactions. The tool displays current state but does not automatically configure—you must review and confirm each transaction through your wallet. Gas costs vary by network conditions; the tool estimates but cannot guarantee optimal pricing. Time windows and reset frequencies are contract-enforced—understand the specific behavior before configuring. Consumed amounts reset according to the configured reset frequency—remaining allowance reflects current window usage.
