About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Suspicious Contract Age Warning analyzes a contract's age and deployment patterns to warn you before you interact. The tool reads the contract's creation timestamp from the blockchain, calculates its age, and identifies the contract creator address. It then flags concerning patterns — very young contracts (less than 24 hours old), contracts deployed in the last 3-7 days, contracts created by unknown or suspicious-looking addresses, and contracts with unusual creation patterns. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language warning about the contract's age: how old the contract is, who deployed it (if known), and whether the age suggests it is well-established or recently created. Results include a risk level, trust score (0-100), contract age, age category, creation timestamp, creator address, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated warning. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI assessment is designed to help you identify potentially risky contracts based on their age and deployment history before you interact.
HOW TO USE
Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the contract is deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the contract address you wish to analyze. Optionally enter the contract name if you know it. Click "Check contract age" to begin the analysis. The tool reads the contract's creation timestamp and creator address, calculates the age, identifies risk patterns, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English age warning. Results appear within seconds, showing the contract address, chain, risk level, trust score, contract age, age category, creation timestamp, creator address, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated warning written in clear, conversational language.
CONTRACT AGE DETECTION AND RISK SCORING
The tool uses a pattern-based approach to analyze contract age and deployment risk. It reads the contract's creation timestamp from the blockchain and calculates the age in days. The age category is determined based on the number of days since creation: Less than 24 hours (Critical risk), 1-3 days (High risk), 3-7 days (Medium risk), 7-30 days (Medium risk), 1-3 months (Low risk), 3-12 months (Low risk), Over 1 year (Low risk). The creator address is extracted and checked for unusual patterns (0000, ffff, aaaa). The trust score (0-100) starts at 50 and is adjusted based on the age: over 1 year (+40), 3-12 months (+30), 1-3 months (+15), 7-30 days (+5), 3-7 days (-10), 1-3 days (-20), less than 24 hours (-40). The risk level is determined by the age category and the presence of suspicious creator patterns. The AI receives all this data and is prompted to explain the age-related risk in plain language — stating how old the contract is, who deployed it, and whether the age suggests it is well-established or recently created. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it reads on-chain creation data and patterns, not the contract's code quality, security, or the intent of the creator.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively determine if a contract is malicious based on age — only reads creation timestamp and creator data. It cannot detect off-chain coordination or malicious intent not reflected in on-chain data — a young contract could be legitimate. The tool cannot predict future behavior — a contract that is young today may become established over time. Legitimate contracts may be newly created for valid reasons — many legitimate projects deploy new contracts. The tool cannot verify the identity or trustworthiness of the contract creator — it only reads the creator address. The tool cannot detect if the contract has been verified or audited. The tool cannot detect if the contract is a copy of a legitimate contract. The tool cannot predict the future security of the contract. The tool cannot verify that the creation timestamp is accurate.
PLEASE NOTE
Suspicious Contract Age Warning supports EVM-compatible chains only (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and others). The tool is read-only and never requests wallet signatures or transaction approvals. Age warnings are AI-generated from on-chain data — always verify contract legitimacy through block explorers, official documentation, and independent research before interacting. The AI warning is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice. A young contract is not automatically malicious, but it should prompt additional caution and due diligence before you interact with it.
