About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Taiko L2 Block Producer provides comprehensive visibility into the block production state of the Taiko L2 network. It reads and displays block production status showing active, idle, or degraded states, current block number with real-time updates, block timestamp for timing, block hash for verification, transaction count for activity, block gas limit for capacity, block gas used for utilization, base fee for transaction pricing, priority fee for fast execution, proposer address for block creator, validator set for consensus, validator voting power for weight distribution, L1 state root for cross-layer verification, L2 state root for chain state, bridge contract state for L1 integration, deposit count for L1-to-L2 activity, withdrawal count for L2-to-L1 exits, pending deposits for queue status, pending withdrawals for queue status, batch submission count for rollup activity, proof generation status for zk proofs, proof verification status for validity, gas oracle state for fee estimates, sync status for node synchronization, epoch information for consensus rounds, slot information for block production, finalization status for settlement, checkpoint status for state verification, block production interval for frequency, block size for capacity, transaction queue depth for backlog, proposer performance metrics for efficiency, block reward for compensation, and commission rate for fee structure. All data is organized in a clean dashboard with block producer status indicators, performance metrics, and rollup statistics.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet to the tool and select the network where your Taiko L2 node is running. Enter the proposer address and Taiko L2 RPC endpoint in the input fields. Click "Monitor Block Producer" to connect to the Taiko L2 network and retrieve block producer state. The tool will query the network for current block number, timestamp, transaction count, gas used, base fee, block size, proposer, voting power, epoch, finalization status, and block reward. Results are displayed in organized cards showing block producer status, current block number, timestamp, transactions, gas used, base fee, block size, proposer, voting power, epoch, finalization status, and block reward. The tool works with any Taiko L2 node accessible via RPC endpoint.

THE MECHANISM

Taiko L2 Block Producer performs client-side monitoring of block production by querying the Taiko L2 RPC endpoint and aggregating state information from various sources. The tool connects to the Taiko node and queries chain information including block number, timestamp, and transaction count. Gas metrics are obtained from block headers. Proposer address is extracted from block header or validator information. Validator voting power is read from the staking contract or validator set. L1 and L2 state roots are obtained from the bridge contract. Deposit and withdrawal counts are tracked from bridge contract events. Proof generation and verification status are obtained from the prover service or rollup contract. Gas oracle state is fetched from the gas oracle contract. The tool simulates the process of connecting to a Taiko node, establishing a client, and querying multiple components efficiently.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Taiko L2 Block Producer cannot verify that the block producer is actually following the protocol or behaving honestly, as that requires monitoring consensus and validator behavior. The tool cannot detect if the block producer is censoring transactions, as that requires transaction tracing and comparison. It cannot prove that the block's state root is correct without running a full node and verifying the state transition. The tool cannot predict block production times or performance, as those depend on future conditions. It cannot guarantee that the block producer will remain operational or responsive, as network conditions may change. The tool also cannot detect if the RPC endpoint is compromised or providing stale data.

PLEASE NOTE

Taiko L2 Block Producer supports EVM-compatible chains only. The tool is a client-side monitoring tool and does not execute or deploy code to any blockchain. Block producer monitoring results are for observation and diagnostics only. The tool is free to use and does not store or transmit any block producer data off-device. Always verify proposer addresses and RPC endpoints from official sources before relying on results.
