HOW TO USE
Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the token or vesting contract is deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the token or vesting/lock contract address you wish to analyze. Optionally enter the token name if you know it. Click "Explain unlock schedule" to begin the analysis. The tool reads the contract to detect supply data, unlock parameters, and upcoming events, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English unlock schedule explanation. Results appear within seconds, showing the contract, chain, risk level, unlock grade, total supply, unlocked supply, locked supply, cliff duration, vesting duration, next unlock date and amount, detailed unlock events, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation written in clear, conversational language.
UNLOCK SCHEDULE DETECTION AND RISK SCORING
The tool uses a pattern-based approach to detect unlock schedule parameters from the contract bytecode. It scans for vesting-related keywords (vesting, vest, unlock, lock) and estimates the total supply, unlocked supply, and locked supply based on contract patterns. The cliff duration is detected from "cliff" patterns (0-180 days), and the vesting duration is detected from "duration" or "period" patterns (90-730 days). Upcoming unlock events are simulated based on the locked supply and vesting duration, with 3-8 events occurring over the vesting period. Each event is assigned a date and amount, with large events (>10% of supply) flagged as critical. The risk score is calculated based on: large unlock events (2 points each), no cliff period (1 point), short vesting under 180 days (1 point), and very low unlocked supply under 20% (1 point). The unlock grade (A-D) is determined by the combination of cliff presence, vesting duration, and unlocked percentage. The AI receives all this data and is prompted to explain the unlock schedule in plain language — stating how many tokens are currently unlocked, how many are locked, when the next unlock occurs, how many tokens will unlock, and the potential price impact of large unlock events. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it reads on-chain unlock parameters, not the team's off-chain intentions, future behavior, or the legitimacy of the token holders.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively verify that the unlock schedule will be honored — only reads the unlock parameters from the contract. It cannot detect off-chain unlock agreements not reflected on-chain — some tokens may have additional unlock conditions not encoded in the contract. The tool cannot predict future changes to the unlock schedule — unlock parameters can sometimes be changed via upgrades or governance. Legitimate tokens may have unlock schedules that appear concerning but are necessary for operations — a large unlock event may be for ecosystem development or liquidity. The tool cannot verify the identity or trustworthiness of the token holders — it only reads the unlock configuration. The tool cannot detect if the team has already sold tokens off-chain. The tool cannot predict the market impact of unlocks — it can only flag large events. The tool cannot detect if the unlock schedule has been manipulated. The tool cannot verify that the unlock contract is the correct one for the token.
