About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Trust & Will Web Progress Tracker automatically scans Trust & Will estate planning progress pages to extract comprehensive task data including task name, completion status, section category, due date, and document status (Draft, In Review, Final, Signed, Notarized). The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a detailed progress summary with a visual progress bar, completion percentage, tasks completed, and tasks remaining. A section-by-section breakdown shows completion percentages for each category including Personal Info, Family, Assets, Beneficiaries, Guardians, Executors, Trust Details, Documents, Review, Signing, and Notarization. Incomplete tasks are highlighted to show what needs attention. A timeline of estate planning steps shows your current position in the overall process. This provides a complete, visual overview of your Trust & Will estate planning progress.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on trustandwill.com domain pages that contain estate planning progress content—specifically pages with "/progress", "/dashboard", "/estate-plan", "/will", or "/trust" in the URL path, or pages that display task checklists and progress tracking. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The progress tracker runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All task data extraction, progress calculations, and tracking preferences are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your estate planning data and progress remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this progress tracker, navigate to any Trust & Will estate planning progress page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying your overall progress with a visual progress bar and percentage. The "Section Breakdown" section shows completion percentages for each category of your estate plan. The "Tasks" section lists all tasks with completion status indicators—green checkmarks for completed tasks and empty boxes for incomplete tasks, with document status badges where available. The "Timeline" section shows your current position in the estate planning process from Start to Complete. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your estate planning progress and helps you identify what still needs attention.

TASK EXTRACTION AND PROGRESS ANALYSIS

The progress tracker uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse task data from Trust & Will pages. It first attempts to find structured task elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "task-item," "task-card," "checklist-item," and "step-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for task-related patterns using pattern matching for terms like "complete," "incomplete," "pending," "done," "progress," "step," or "task." Task completion status is determined through keyword detection for "complete," "done," checkmarks, "in progress," "incomplete," or "pending." Section categorization uses keyword detection for a comprehensive list of estate planning categories including Personal Info, Family, Assets, Beneficiaries, Guardians, Executors, Trust Details, Documents, Review, Signing, and Notarization. Document status is extracted through pattern matching for "Draft," "Review," "Final," "Signed," or "Notarized." Overall progress is calculated as the percentage of completed tasks, and section-level progress is calculated for each category.

THE PANEL

The progress tracker panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Trust & Will progress page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you track your estate planning progress. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and progress tracking preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the progress tracker does not work standalone. Trust & Will occasionally updates its page layouts and progress presentation formats, which may temporarily affect task data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts task data from the visible page content; if progress data is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Progress calculations are based on extracted task data and are provided for informational purposes—always verify your actual progress on the official Trust & Will platform. The document status and task completion information is extracted from the page and is for reference only. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all task data extraction, progress calculations, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal estate planning assistance and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Trust & Will or its parent company. Estate planning is a serious legal matter; always review your official Trust & Will documents and consult with qualified legal professionals for estate planning advice.
