About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Upwork Bulk Proposal Template Sender solves a common freelance challenge: applying to multiple Upwork jobs is tedious and repetitive when each proposal requires similar information. While Upwork allows individual job applications, there is no native way to send a consistent proposal template to multiple jobs simultaneously. This tool reads your current Upwork job search results page, detects all visible job listings, and displays them in a scrollable checklist with job titles, client names, budget/rate, and description previews. You can select multiple jobs and send a pre-written proposal template to all selected jobs. The tool supports creating and managing multiple proposal templates with placeholders for job title, client name, budget, and other dynamic fields that are automatically filled in based on each job's details. A configurable delay between submissions prevents rate limiting, and progress tracking shows each proposal as it's sent.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension panel runs directly inside your browser as an overlay on Upwork's job search results pages. It works on the main job feed, saved searches, and category pages. The tool detects job listings from the page's DOM and uses tab automation to submit proposals through Upwork's interface. It requires no additional API keys or permissions beyond the BotGentz extension.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension and activating Upwork Bulk Proposal Template Sender, navigate to any Upwork job search results page. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar to open the panel. The tool automatically detects all job listings displayed on the current page. Each job appears with its title, client name, and budget alongside a checkbox. Use the filter to select jobs. Next, create a proposal template in the Templates section — give it a name and write your proposal content. You can use placeholders like {job_title}, {client_name}, {budget}, and {date} which will be automatically replaced with each job's details. Select your template from the dropdown. Configure the delay between submissions (default 10 seconds) to avoid rate limiting. The preview section shows how many jobs are selected and the template being used. Finally, click "Send Proposals." The tool processes each job sequentially, opening each job page in a new tab, filling in the proposal fields with your template, and submitting the proposal. A progress counter shows completion status.

TECHNICAL OPERATION — Tab-Based Proposal Submission with Template Placeholders

This tool detects job listings using selectors like `[data-job-id]`, `.job-listing`, and `.job-card`, extracting job titles, client names, budgets, and job URLs. For template management, the tool stores templates in GM_setValue with unique IDs, supporting placeholders that are replaced dynamically. When sending proposals, the tool opens each job's URL in a new tab using window.open, waits for the page to load, locates the cover letter textarea using selectors like `textarea[name="cover_letter"]` or `.cover-letter-textarea`, fills it with the processed template (replacing placeholders), triggers input and change events, clicks the submit button, and closes the tab. A configurable delay between submissions (default 10 seconds) prevents Upwork's rate limiting. The tool also handles errors gracefully, continuing with remaining jobs if one fails. Results can be exported as CSV or JSON for tracking.

THE PANEL

The extension panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per site session. It snaps to the nearest edge of the browser viewport when dragged within 50 pixels of any side. You can collapse the panel to a compact title bar using the minimize button, preserving your selection state. The panel resizes vertically by dragging the bottom edge. Press the Escape key to close the panel instantly. The preview updates in real-time as you select jobs.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension to function. The script operates by opening tabs and submitting forms on Upwork's interface and does not use Upwork's official API. It only sees jobs that are currently rendered in the page's DOM. For best results, ensure you're on Upwork job search results and logged in. Upwork's UI structure may change over time, which could affect job detection and proposal submission; we monitor and release compatibility updates as needed. The tool does not store, transmit, or log any proposal content, job data, or user activity. All operations occur locally in your browser session. Submitting proposals uses your account's connects — ensure you have sufficient connects before sending bulk proposals. The configurable delay helps avoid rate limiting but does not guarantee immunity. Always review the template content before sending to ensure it's appropriate for each job.
