About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Wallet Balance Change Explainer provides AI-powered analysis of a wallet's balance changes over a specified time period. Analyze starting balance, ending balance, and net change to understand overall direction. Break down balance changes by transaction type — transfers received, transfers sent, swaps, gas fees, deposits, withdrawals, and other interactions. Identify what caused significant increases or decreases in the wallet balance. View individual transaction amounts and their impact on the overall balance. Understand gas fee consumption and its effect on the wallet. The AI translates these technical details into a plain-language explanation with a clear verdict (Significant Increase, Moderate Increase, Stable, Moderate Decrease, or Significant Decrease), starting and ending balances, net change amount, categorized breakdown of changes with amounts, notable transactions, and a final explanation of what drove the balance change. This is an essential tool for anyone who wants to understand why a wallet's balance changed without manually reviewing dozens of transactions.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your Web3 wallet (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, or any EVM-compatible chain).

2. Select the network that matches your target chain from the dropdown.

3. Enter the wallet address you want to analyze.

4. Select the lookback period (7, 30, or 90 days).

5. Click "explain balance change" to read on-chain balance history and generate an AI explanation.

6. Review the verdict, starting and ending balances, net change, categorized breakdown of changes, notable transactions, and final explanation.

7. Use the explanation to understand what caused the wallet's balance to go up or down.

8. Remember: the AI explanation is generated from on-chain data — always review your wallet's signature prompt before signing.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

Wallet Balance Change Explainer reads real on-chain balance history and transaction data for the specified wallet address. The tool queries the wallet's balance at multiple points in time using the provider's getBalance method for native ETH and token balance methods for ERC-20 tokens. It calculates starting balance, ending balance, and net change over the specified period. It queries transaction history and decodes transaction data to identify transfer types and amounts. It categorizes each transaction as transfer in, transfer out, swap, gas fee, deposit, withdrawal, or other interaction. It sums total inflows, outflows, and gas fees. The parsed and calculated data is then passed to the AI bridge (BGAI.generate) which produces a structured explanation in plain language. The AI explanation is capped at 1,024 tokens and focuses on clear, actionable explanations of what caused the balance change. The tool presents the explanation before any action is taken, enabling the user to understand the wallet's balance dynamics.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that balance history is complete or that it captures all wallet activity — some transactions may be off-chain or on other chains. It cannot detect off-chain wallet activity or holdings that are not captured on-chain. It cannot guarantee that balance changes reflect only the user's activity — some changes may be due to protocol interactions or smart contract activity. It cannot ensure that all token transfers are captured correctly — some token standards may not be fully supported. The AI analysis is based solely on on-chain balance data — it cannot detect off-chain holdings, pending transactions, or predict future balance changes. Always verify critical information independently and never rely solely on automated analysis for financial decisions. The AI explanation is generated and does not replace reviewing what you are actually signing in your wallet.

PLEASE NOTE

Wallet Balance Change Explainer supports EVM-compatible blockchains only (Ethereum Mainnet, Goerli, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain, and others via network selection). The tool requires a free API key for the AI bridge. The tool never submits transactions or signs messages; it is strictly read-only. The AI explanation is generated after reading balance data — always review your wallet's signature prompt before approving any transaction. The lookback period affects the scope of the analysis; longer periods provide more comprehensive explanations but may take longer. Balance changes are calculated based on on-chain data — off-chain holdings are not included.
