Workday Time-Off Balance Badge

WHAT IT DOES Workday Time-Off Balance Badge scans your Workday time-off balance pages and displays a floating badge with all your leave balances. It extracts available hours/days for vacation, sick leave, personal days, floating holidays, and other leave types—along with accrual rates and expiration dates. Each balance is color-coded: green for healthy (>50% remaining), yellow for moderate (25-50%), and red for low (50%, moderate >25%). Click "Copy Balance Summary" to copy a formatted text summary to your clipboard. THE REAL MECHANISM The script detects Workday balance data using selectors like .time-off-balance, .balance-row, .leave-balance, .accrual-balance, and .balance-item, with fallback to table rows (tbody tr, .workday-table tbody tr). For each balance row, it extracts the leave type from .balance-type or .leave-type, the available balance from .available, .balance-available, or .current-balance, the used balance from .used or .balance-used, and the total balance from .total or .balance-total. Accrual rates are extracted from .accrual-rate, .accrual, or .rate, and expiration dates from .expiration, .expiry, or .expires. If no structured data is found, the script creates sample data for demonstration. The color-coded status is calculated as a percentage of available vs total balance. The badge renders each balance with a dot indicator, progress bar, and details. All DOM manipulation uses safe methods with no innerHTML from untrusted content. THE PANEL The Time-Off Balance badge is displayed within the BGPanel component, which you can drag anywhere on your screen by its header. It snaps to the nearest edge when released, keeping your workspace organized. The panel collapses to a small bubble showing only the emoji icon when minimised—click to expand it again. You can resize the panel horizontally to see more of the balance details. Press the Escape key to collapse the panel instantly. Your panel position and size are saved per-site. PLEASE NOTE This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension to function. Workday frequently updates its UI, which may change class names, data-testid attributes, and DOM structure—the script may require updates to maintain compatibility. The balance extraction relies on the presence of balance data on the page; if the page is not displaying balances (e.g., you're on a different Workday tab), the script may not detect any data. The color thresholds (50% and 25%) are configurable in the settings. The script never reads or writes password fields, hidden inputs, or file inputs. It stores only your badge position, expiration alert visibility, accrual rate visibility, balance format, color thresholds, and auto-detect preference locally. No Workday data, balance information, or personal information is ever collected, transmitted, or shared.
