Zerion DeFi Position Tracker

WHAT IT DOES

This tool provides a comprehensive view of your DeFi positions across multiple EVM chains by aggregating data from the Zerion API. It reads your wallet balances, token holdings, and all DeFi positions—including lending positions (supplied and borrowed assets), liquidity pool shares, yield farm deposits, and staking positions. The tool connects to your wallet via BGWallet or accepts manual address entry, then fetches position data including protocol names, asset types, balances, and USD values. Results are displayed in a sortable table with total portfolio value, enabling you to track your DeFi exposure across protocols and chains in one unified view.

HOW TO USE

Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button, or manually enter any wallet address in the lookup field. Select the network you want to view (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BSC, Fantom, or Gnosis). Click "Track positions" to fetch data from the Zerion API. The tool will display your total portfolio value in USD, a breakdown of all positions with their protocol, type, asset, balance, and value. If you connected your wallet, the address is pre-filled automatically. The results are sorted by value descending, showing your largest positions first.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool queries the Zerion API endpoint at https://api.zerion.io/v1/wallets/{address}/positions?currency=usd. Zerion aggregates data from multiple blockchain sources and DeFi protocols, returning a structured response with each position's protocol, asset, balance, and USD value. The API normalizes data across different DeFi protocols, providing consistent fields for lending, borrowing, liquidity provision, and staking positions. The tool parses this response, sums the total USD value across all positions, and sorts individual positions by value descending. The results table displays protocol name, position type, asset symbol, balance, and converted USD value, with total portfolio value highlighted at the top.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot view positions on non-EVM chains (e.g., Solana, Bitcoin) or protocols that are not indexed by Zerion's API. It cannot show real-time pending transactions or mempool activity—only confirmed on-chain data is available. It cannot provide accurate cost basis or profit/loss calculations without full transaction history, which may be incomplete or unavailable through the API. It cannot access wallet data without explicit user connection or manual address entry—you must connect your wallet or enter an address manually. It cannot detect off-chain holdings (e.g., centralized exchange balances, fiat currency) or assets in wallets you do not specify. It does not support cross-chain portfolio aggregation across multiple wallets in a single view—each wallet must be looked up separately. It does not track NFTs in detail beyond basic token balances and holdings.
