WHAT IT DOES

Carvana Web Delivery Countdown Badge reads the estimated delivery date from Carvana vehicle listing pages and displays a floating countdown badge showing the days, hours, and minutes remaining until delivery. The countdown updates every second and changes color based on urgency—blue for normal, yellow for soon (under 3 days), and red with a pulse animation for very soon (under 1 day). The badge also shows the vehicle name, a "until delivery" label, and the delivery date. When the countdown reaches zero, the badge displays "Ready for delivery!" with a checkmark. The extension tracks delivery history per vehicle, recording how many times you've viewed each listing and the estimated delivery date. A notification appears when delivery is within 2 days, reminding you to prepare.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all Carvana pages at carvana.com and its subdomains, specifically on vehicle listing and detail pages where delivery information is displayed. It runs on the main vehicle view, the search results page, and any page showing vehicle delivery details. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Carvana's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to carvana.com and open any vehicle listing with a delivery date. The extension automatically creates a floating countdown badge on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle visibility. The badge updates every second, showing the time remaining until delivery. When the delivery date is within 2 days, you'll receive a desktop notification. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). The "Refresh" button manually updates the overlay with the latest delivery information. Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

DATE PARSING AND REAL-TIME COUNTDOWN WITH PER-VEHICLE TRACKING

Unlike static date display tools, this extension uses a multi-selector date extraction engine that scans for delivery date information using a prioritized list of selectors and text patterns. It attempts to find delivery dates in various formats (MM/DD/YYYY, Month D, Month D, YYYY) using regex patterns. Once a delivery date is found, the extension calculates the time remaining using real-time Date comparisons and updates the display every second using setInterval. The countdown is formatted as days+hours, hours+minutes, or minutes+seconds depending on the remaining time. Per-vehicle history is stored using a unique identifier derived from the VIN or listing name, tracking view count and delivery date. A notification system checks if delivery is within 2 days and sends a desktop notification with a one-hour cooldown to prevent spamming.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on carvana.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, and delivery history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Carvana's website changes periodically, and vehicle element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting delivery dates until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, and delivery history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Delivery history is stored as a key-value object where keys are vehicle identifiers and values contain view count and delivery date timestamp. The countdown is based on the delivery date displayed on the page—actual delivery timing may vary. Always verify with Carvana directly for the most accurate delivery information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for carvana.com.
