About this app

WHAT IT DOES

E-Book Store Region Switcher is a dedicated region-switching tool that helps you understand which e-book stores and regional catalogs become accessible when BotSurf is set to a specific country or region. It is not a VPN or proxy; it works alongside BotSurf to change the apparent location that e-book platforms use to determine your regional access. By doing so, it surfaces the local store availability, pricing, language options, bestseller lists, and licensing differences that are normally shown to users browsing from that region. This makes it easier to compare regional e-book catalogs, find titles available in local languages, and navigate the complex landscape of global e-book publishing rights.

WHAT THE REGION CHANGES — SPECIFIC

When the region is set to a specific country, this app reflects the following practical changes:

• Store availability becomes visible — Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Audible, and regional stores (e.g., Waterstones in the UK, BookLive in Japan) have different regional footprints.

• Pricing is shown in local currency — average e-book prices in the US range from $9.99–$14.99, in the UK from £7.99–£12.99, and in Japan from ¥800–¥2,000, reflecting local market conditions.

• Language availability is highlighted — English is dominant in the US and UK, Japanese in Japan, with regional variations and minority language support.

• Regional bestseller lists are displayed — fiction and thrillers lead in the US, literary fiction and crime in the UK, manga and light novels in Japan.

• Catalog gaps are identified — some UK-specific titles may be delayed in the US, US-only titles may be delayed in the UK, and international titles are often delayed in Japan.

• Licensing differences are noted — publisher agreements vary by region, affecting which editions and formats are available.

This is not a universal unlock — it changes what is shown, not what is available. The visible catalog options and regional insights update based on the region value passed to the platform.

HOW TO USE

Open the app over any e-book store or reading platform where you want to see regional catalog availability. It works in two modes:

• Layered over a live page — activate the panel while browsing the e-book store; the page stays in the background and you can consult the region status, store availability, and catalog differences without losing your place.

• Full frame — when there is no underlying page, the app stands alone as a dashboard showing the current region and the expected e-book catalog information.

Once the app is open, check the region chip in the header to confirm you are browsing as a specific country. If not, use the "switch" button or the "Prompt region change" button in the main card to ask BotSurf to switch. When a region change is initiated, your browser will ask for permission to reload; accept the reload to apply the new region to the page underneath. If you choose not to reload, the app will still show the updated region status, but the underlying store page will continue to use the previous region until it is refreshed manually.

Use the editable reference table to keep notes of e-book catalog data you have observed — it is a static memory aid, not a live feed. The consistency check helps you see if your own browser signals (timezone, language) agree with the claimed region, which is important because some e-book platforms cross-check these signals.

WHAT IT CANNOT DO

This app does not route traffic or mask your IP address — BotSurf handles that separately. It cannot bypass publisher-imposed regional licensing restrictions, which are enforced by publishers and rights holders based on your detected location, account billing address, and licensing agreements. It cannot guarantee access to any specific title or edition, as availability depends on publisher agreements and regional rights. It cannot override the terms of service of e-book platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, Barnes & Noble Nook, Audible, or any other provider. It cannot authenticate with a store or publisher — you must have a valid account and payment method to purchase content. It cannot affect account entitlements, library contents, or purchase history that are tied to your billing address or registered country rather than your browsing region. It is a front-end region indicator and informational tool, not a licence circumvention or authentication solution.

PLEASE NOTE

Many e-book platforms actively detect and block VPN or region-switching traffic. While this app is designed to work with BotSurf, some services may still serve a default global catalog or require a local billing address or payment method to access regional content. Terms of service for these platforms may prohibit using region-switching tools to access region-restricted titles; users should review applicable terms and use this tool responsibly. This app does not store personal or payment data — all region state is held in memory only for the current page session. E-book catalog data in the reference table is static and not guaranteed to be current; always verify with the store.
