About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Foreign Email Translator and Replier extracts email content from any page (subject, body, and sender details) and uses advanced AI to translate it into your native language for easy comprehension, then generates a draft reply in the original language that is contextually appropriate and addresses all key points. This dual-function tool eliminates language barriers in international communication, making it easy to understand foreign-language emails and respond professionally without manual translation.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool operates as a userscript within the BotGentz extension framework, running directly in your browser on any website. It works on webmail clients, email platforms, customer support portals, and virtually any page containing email content. The tool integrates seamlessly into your workflow, appearing as a draggable panel that stays accessible as you manage international correspondence.
HOW TO USE
Click "Scan Page" to automatically extract the email content from the current page. The tool intelligently identifies the subject, body, and sender information. Alternatively, select text on the page before scanning to process only that portion. Configure your settings: choose your native language from nine options (for translation of received emails), select your reply language from eight options (the language to write your reply in), choose your preferred reply tone (Professional, Friendly, or Neutral), and toggle key points summary inclusion on or off. Click "Translate & Reply" to send the email to the AI backend. Within moments, you'll receive a translated version of the email and a draft reply ready for review and sending. Use the "Copy Result" button to paste the response into your email client.
TECHNICAL OPERATION
Foreign Email Translator and Replier employs a multi-strategy extraction pipeline that first checks for selected text, then attempts WebMCP (navigator.modelContext) when available—a W3C proposal for structured page content access—and falls back to DOM-based content detection using prioritized selectors for email containers, message bodies, and content areas. The user's native language, reply language, tone preference, and summary inclusion setting are encoded as system-level instructions in the prompt sent to the AI. The text is truncated to 8000 characters and transmitted via GM_xmlhttpRequest to the AI backend. The AI, specifically prompted as a multilingual communication specialist, performs a dual-stage process: first, it translates the email content into the user's native language with attention to tone and context; second, it analyzes the content to identify key questions, requests, and action items, then drafts a reply in the original language that addresses all points in a culturally appropriate manner. The output presents both the translation and the draft reply in a clear, organized format. Each request is authenticated with a subscription key and counts against your monthly usage cap.
THE PANEL
The Foreign Email Translator and Replier panel is fully draggable and remembers its position between sessions using GM_setValue. It snaps to the edge of the viewport for a clean interface and can be collapsed to a small icon when not in use. The panel is resizable to accommodate longer content. Press Escape to quickly close or collapse the panel. The design is optimized for productivity with a dark theme, clear visual hierarchy, and responsive controls that adapt to your workflow.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension installed in your browser and an active subscription to access the AI backend. AI-generated translations and draft replies are intended as aids for communication and should be reviewed for accuracy, tone appropriateness, and completeness before sending. Machine translation may not capture all nuances or idiomatic expressions. Always verify critical information and personalize the reply as needed. No page data is stored or transmitted beyond the content you explicitly submit for processing. All processing occurs through secure HTTPS connections, and your subscription key is never exposed to the page context.
