About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Handmade at Amazon Listing Fee Calculator reads product price and category from Amazon Handmade product pages or seller dashboard and displays a floating fee calculator overlay showing estimated referral fees, closing fees, and total Amazon fees. The badge shows the net profit amount with color coding—green for healthy margins and red for low margins—along with the profit margin percentage. A live input field lets you enter the product cost to see accurate net profit in real time. The overlay displays a breakdown of referral and closing fees, the product name, and category. The extension tracks fee calculation history per product, storing each calculation with a timestamp. The panel displays your current net profit, margin, and history.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension works on all Amazon pages at amazon.com and its subdomains, specifically on Handmade product pages and seller dashboard pages where pricing and category information are displayed. It runs on the main product view, the seller dashboard, the inventory page, and any page displaying product pricing information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Amazon's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.
HOW TO USE
Install the extension, then navigate to amazon.com and open a Handmade product page or your seller dashboard. The extension automatically creates a floating fee calculator overlay on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The overlay shows your net profit, fees breakdown, and margin. Adjust the product price by entering a value in the Price input field. Enter your product cost in the Cost input field to see accurate net profit—calculations update in real time. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the overlay with the latest product information. The default category preference sets the fee rate used (Handmade, Jewelry, Fashion, Electronics, Home, or Garden). Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the overlay by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the overlay with the × button.
CATEGORY-AWARE FEE CALCULATION WITH REFERRAL AND CLOSING FEE DETECTION
Unlike simple percentage calculators, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find product price, name, and category from Amazon's varying page structures. It searches for price using multiple selector patterns (.price, .product-price, .sale-price) and falls back to text parsing. Category detection analyzes breadcrumbs, category labels, and product descriptions to classify products into six categories (Handmade, Jewelry, Fashion, Electronics, Home, Garden), each with different referral fee rates (8% to 20%). The fee calculator uses Amazon Handmade's fee structure: referral fees (15% for Handmade, 20% for Jewelry, 17% for Fashion, 8% for Electronics, 15% for Home and Garden) and a $0.30 closing fee per item. The net profit calculation subtracts both fees and the product cost from the retail price. Per-product fee history is stored as a key-value object where keys are product identifiers and values are arrays of fee records with timestamps, limited to 20 entries per product.
THE PANEL
The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on amazon.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, default category preference, and per-product fee history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Amazon's website changes periodically, and product element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting pricing data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, default category preference, and per-product fee history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Fee history is stored as a key-value object where keys are product identifiers and values are arrays of fee records. The pricing and fees displayed are estimates based on Amazon's current fee structure—actual fees may vary. Always verify with Amazon directly for the most accurate fee information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for amazon.com.
