WHAT IT DOES

SEMrush Bulk Domain Comparison Exporter lets you export domain comparison data for multiple domains in a single operation. You can see each domain with its authority score, backlinks, organic keywords, and traffic metrics. Select any number of domains using checkboxes, choose your export format (CSV or JSON), and click Export. The tool then extracts the selected domain data and generates a clean, structured export file with all metrics. This turns what could be a tedious copy-paste operation into a single batch action, making competitive analysis and SEO reporting significantly faster and more precise.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script runs exclusively on the SEMrush web application in your browser. It activates on the domain comparison page and domain overview views within the SEMrush dashboard. It requires the BotGentz extension to inject and execute the script. The tool does not work on the SEMrush mobile app, the API, or any third-party SEMrush clients — only the web-based SEMrush interface accessed through a Chromium-based or Firefox browser. It specifically targets pages under *.semrush.com, including the SEMrush domain comparison and domain analysis views.

HOW TO USE

After installing the script via BotGentz, navigate to any SEMrush domain page — the Domain Overview, Domain Comparison, or Organic Research reports. The tool automatically detects the domain list and displays a floating panel on the right side. The panel shows all domains on the current page, with checkboxes next to each domain entry. Each domain displays its name, authority score, backlinks count, organic keywords count, and traffic estimate. Use the search box to filter by domain name to narrow down your selection. Check the boxes for every domain you want to export. Below the domain list, toggle between CSV and JSON format. Click "Export Selected" and the tool will extract the selected domain data and generate the export file for download. A status message appears when the export completes, showing how many domains were exported.

THE ACTUAL MECHANISM — WHY IT WORKS

SEMrush's web interface is built with React and uses a component-based rendering system for its domain management. The domain list is rendered as table rows or cards, each containing domain metadata and metric data. This tool scans the DOM for domain items using multiple selector patterns that SEMrush consistently uses across versions. For each domain, it extracts the domain name, authority score, backlinks count, organic keywords, and traffic from the visible text content and data attributes. Each domain is assigned a unique identifier from data attributes or checkbox values. When exporting, the tool generates CSV with domain metrics as headers and each selected domain as a row, or JSON with each domain as a structured object. The CSV generation properly escapes quotes and handles numeric values. This approach works without making direct API calls, which would require authentication credentials and knowledge of SEMrush's internal API structure. By reading the rendered DOM, the tool captures exactly what you see on the page, ensuring the exported data matches the displayed metrics.

THE PANEL

The floating panel is fully draggable — click and drag the header to reposition it anywhere on the page. The panel's position is saved per site in localStorage, so it reappears exactly where you left it when you return to the domain page. Double-click the header to snap the panel to the nearest edge (left or right). A collapse button minimizes the panel to a small tab showing a globe emoji badge, keeping it out of the way while still accessible. The domain list inside the panel is scrollable and resizes vertically based on the number of domains. Pressing Escape while the panel is focused closes it completely; reopening is done via a small button injected near the page toolbar. All panel interactions are non-blocking — SEMrush's main UI remains fully responsive while the panel is open, and the panel updates automatically when you navigate between projects or pages.

SEMrush frequently updates its web interface and metric display structures; if the tool stops working, check for an updated version within BotGentz's script repository. This tool does not store, transmit, or log any domain data, metrics, or project information — all operations occur locally in your browser with no external network requests except those made by SEMrush itself. Exported data is generated entirely from the visible page content. For pages with a large number of domains, the tool may take a moment to generate the export file — a status message indicates when the export is complete. Always verify the exported data matches your expectations, as some metrics may have different formatting or units in the page display. The tool only affects domains visible on the current page; to export all domains, use SEMrush's built-in pagination controls or adjust your view to show all relevant domains. The CSV export uses comma-separated values with quoted fields, compatible with all major spreadsheet applications. The JSON export produces well-formatted, readable JSON suitable for data analysis and integration with other tools.
