WHAT IT DOES

Social Media Post Drafter reads the content of the current page—article text, blog post, product description, news story, or any written content—and uses AI to draft a social media post based on that content. It generates a short, engaging social media post optimized for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram that summarizes the key takeaway, includes relevant hashtags, and includes a call to action. The output is a draft post ready for review and copying, saving you time when sharing content across your social channels.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool runs as a userscript inside the BotGentz extension on any website. All page content is processed locally before being sent to the AI backend—no data is stored or shared beyond the current analysis request. It works on articles, blog posts, news sites, product pages, and any page with readable text content.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page with content you want to share—an article, blog post, product description, or news story. Open the panel and click "Draft Post." The tool will extract the main content from the page and send it to the AI for analysis. Within seconds, you'll receive a draft social media post ready to copy and paste. Use the settings to customize the output: select your platform (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), choose post length (short, medium, long), set the tone (professional, casual, enthusiastic, informative), and toggle hashtags and calls to action on or off.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses smart content extraction to locate the main text of the page. It scans for common content selectors (article, article-body, article-content, post-content, blog-post, entry-content, main-content, product-description) and falls back to body text when needed. The extracted text is then sent to a dedicated AI backend that analyzes the content and generates a platform-optimized social post. The AI is instructed to match the tone to the content, include relevant hashtags, add a call to action, and keep the post concise—all under 1,024 tokens. The output is formatted as a clean, copy-ready draft.

THE PANEL

The panel can be dragged anywhere on screen, snapped to the edge, resized, collapsed, and closed with Escape. It remembers its position per site and stays out of your way until you need it.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active AI subscription. The AI replies are generated and should be reviewed and edited before posting. Sites change frequently; if the tool stops working on a particular site, it may need updating. All data processing is local except for the AI request itself—no browsing data is collected or stored.
