About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The AI Exit Interview Question Generator helps HR professionals, people managers, and talent teams design thoughtful, structured exit interview questions that uncover actionable insights about employee departures. You provide the exit interview context—departing employee role, tenure, reason for leaving, and any specific focus areas—and the agent returns a set of exit interview questions with three elements per question: Question Text (the actual question to ask the departing employee), Rationale (why this question is important and what insight it aims to capture), and Suggested Follow-Up (a natural way to probe deeper or keep the conversation flowing). The output is capped at 1,024 tokens, so the generator focuses on the five most critical questions for gaining actionable insights—ensuring the interview is focused, respectful, and productive. This is ideal for HR business partners, talent acquisition teams, employee relations specialists, and people leaders who want to conduct effective exit interviews and reduce voluntary turnover.

HOW TO USE

Open the agent in BotSurf (botsurf.ai). Paste your key once (the host handles key management). Then paste your exit interview context into the input box—role, tenure, reason for leaving, and focus areas. You can use free‑form text, bullet points, or structured notes. Press “Generate questions” or use Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) to generate. Within seconds, you receive a set of structured questions with rationales and follow‑ups. You can also click “Use page selection” to pull highlighted text from any open page—making it easy to capture details from resignation letters, performance records, or team feedback without manual retyping. The agent handles any exit scenario, from voluntary resignations to retirements to layoffs.

WHAT IT SENDS

The agent sends exactly the text you place in the input box—nothing more. It does not transmit any metadata, browsing history, cookies, attached files, or system information. Transmission occurs only when you press the “Generate questions” button or the keyboard shortcut. Usage logs record the timestamp, user ID, and run count for billing purposes, but they do not store or transmit the substantive content of your input or the agent’s output. The agent does not retain your data after generating a response; every run is stateless. This section is required and precise—there is no hidden data collection, no background scanning, no external sharing, and no persistent storage of your exit interview data.

SUBSCRIPTION

$19.99/month with a 7‑day free trial (no charge during trial). Includes 100 runs per month; unused runs do not roll over. You may cancel anytime from your BotSurf account settings—no penalties, no questions asked. After cancellation, access ends at the current billing period’s close. The free trial is a great way to test the agent with your actual exit interview contexts before committing.

THE PANEL

Drag the panel by its header to reposition it anywhere on screen. Snap to left, right, or bottom edges for side‑by‑side work with other tools. Collapse to a minimal bar when not in use (click the “−” button or press Escape). Press Escape again to expand. Close the panel with the “✕” button; your input and output remain until you clear them. Panel position and collapse state persist across sessions when the host supports state storage.

PLEASE NOTE

AI may generate questions that are not fully appropriate for every situation or jurisdiction. Always review and adapt exit interview questions to align with organisational policies, legal requirements, and the specific employee's circumstances. This tool provides general information and question generation assistance only—it does not constitute professional HR, legal, or employment advice. Users must independently verify all questions for legality and appropriateness with qualified HR and legal professionals. The agent is an assistant, not a substitute for qualified HR or legal professionals.
