AI Layoff Announcement Drafter
About this app
WHAT IT DOES
The AI Layoff Announcement Drafter helps HR professionals, people leaders, and executives draft respectful, clear, and compassionate layoff announcements during difficult organisational transitions. You provide the layoff announcement context—company name, affected groups, reason for layoff, support offered, and any specific tone or constraints—and the agent returns a draft layoff announcement with five essential sections: Opening (a respectful, direct introduction that acknowledges the gravity of the message), Context/Reason (a clear, honest explanation of why the decision was made), Impacted Groups (a transparent description of who is affected, with appropriate sensitivity), Support/Resources (a detailed outline of severance, benefits, outplacement, and other assistance), and Next Steps (what employees can expect next, including timing and communication plans). The output is capped at 1,024 tokens, so the announcement focuses on the five most critical elements for a respectful and clear communication—ensuring the message is compassionate, transparent, and legally mindful. This is ideal for HR professionals, CHROs, people operations leads, and executives who need to communicate workforce reductions with dignity and clarity.
HOW TO USE
Open the agent in BotSurf (botsurf.ai). Paste your key once (the host handles key management). Then paste your layoff announcement context into the input box—company, affected groups, reason, support, and tone/constraints. You can use free‑form text, bullet points, or structured notes. Press “Draft announcement” or use Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) to generate. Within seconds, you receive a draft announcement with clear sections. You can also click “Use page selection” to pull highlighted text from any open page—making it easy to capture details from HR plans, executive briefs, or legal guidance without manual retyping. The agent handles any layoff scenario, from small reductions to large-scale workforce restructuring.
WHAT IT SENDS
The agent sends exactly the text you place in the input box—nothing more. It does not transmit any metadata, browsing history, cookies, attached files, or system information. Transmission occurs only when you press the “Draft announcement” button or the keyboard shortcut. Usage logs record the timestamp, user ID, and run count for billing purposes, but they do not store or transmit the substantive content of your input or the agent’s output. The agent does not retain your data after generating a response; every run is stateless. This section is required and precise—there is no hidden data collection, no background scanning, no external sharing, and no persistent storage of your sensitive announcement data.
SUBSCRIPTION
$19.99/month with a 7‑day free trial (no charge during trial). Includes 100 runs per month; unused runs do not roll over. You may cancel anytime from your BotSurf account settings—no penalties, no questions asked. After cancellation, access ends at the current billing period’s close. The free trial is a great way to test the agent with your own announcement drafts before committing.
THE PANEL
Drag the panel by its header to reposition it anywhere on screen. Snap to left, right, or bottom edges for side‑by‑side work with other tools. Collapse to a minimal bar when not in use (click the “−” button or press Escape). Press Escape again to expand. Close the panel with the “✕” button; your input and output remain until you clear them. Panel position and collapse state persist across sessions when the host supports state storage.
