About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Job Application Withdrawal Drafter is a job search tool that analyzes job application details, position descriptions, and offer letters from any webpage, then drafts a professional, gracious email withdrawing the application. It identifies the job title, company name, and any application details, then generates a well-structured email that withdraws the application, sincerely expresses appreciation for the time and consideration, provides a brief, honest reason if appropriate, and leaves the door open for future opportunities while maintaining a positive relationship with the employer. You can choose between a brief or appreciative style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying job application details, position descriptions, offer letters, or similar job-related content. Common sources include job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor), company career pages, email clients, and recruitment platforms.
HOW TO USE
Navigate to any page that displays job application details, a position description, or an offer letter. Open the BotGentz extension and select Job Application Withdrawal Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Optionally, enter the job title and a brief reason for withdrawal. Enter a future opportunity note if desired. Select your preferred style (brief or appreciative) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Withdrawal" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant application details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a professional, gracious withdrawal email in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.
TECHNICAL SECTION — JOB APPLICATION AND OFFER LETTER EXTRACTION
This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on job application and offer letter communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing job and application indicators such as "job," "position," "role," "application," "offer," "candidate," "hire," "department," and "opportunity." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the application data and surrounding structural markers (job titles, company names, salary details, start dates, application deadlines). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a job application or offer context using features like professional language frequency ("offer," "position," "compensation," "start date"), company references, and application status markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the job title and company, the application details, any offer terms, and the timeline or deadlines. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, job title, reason, future note, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete withdrawal email with standardized sections (greeting, withdrawal statement, brief reason if appropriate, appreciation for the opportunity, future opportunity note, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.
THE PANEL
The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI drafting feature. AI-generated withdrawal emails are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss application nuances or misread the employer relationship. Websites change their job page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
