This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying performance review forms, evaluation criteria, role expectations, or similar professional content. Common sources include performance management systems, company documentation, HR portals, and role description pages.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a performance review form, evaluation criteria, or role expectations. Open the BotGentz extension and select Performance Review Self-Assessment Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Enter your key achievements, areas for improvement, and goals for the next review period (each comma separated). Select your preferred style (concise or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Self-Assessment" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant review criteria and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a professional, balanced self-assessment draft in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your performance management system.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND EVALUATION EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on performance management and evaluation communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing performance indicators such as "performance," "review," "evaluation," "criteria," "competencies," "goals," "objectives," "feedback," "rating," and "assessment." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the review data and surrounding structural markers (evaluation categories, rating scales, competency lists, goal frameworks). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a performance review context using features like professional language frequency ("competencies," "achievements," "development," "feedback"), evaluation markers, and role expectation references. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the evaluation criteria and competencies, the rating or assessment framework, the role expectations, and any performance indicators. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, achievements, improvements, goals, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete self-assessment with standardized sections (professional introduction, achievement highlights with specific examples, honest areas for development, measurable goals for the next period, and positive closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
