WHAT IT DOES

Price History Context Summarizer reads price history data, price tracking charts, and current pricing information from product pages or price tracking services—Keepa, CamelCamelCamel, Honey, and others—and uses AI to produce a plain-language summary of the product's price context. It extracts key information: current price, highest and lowest prices over a period, price trends (increasing, decreasing, stable), seasonal patterns, whether the current price is a good deal (low, average, or high compared to historical range), and if there is a pattern of price drops. The AI output is a short bulleted summary with a clear buying recommendation based on the price history.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool runs as a userscript inside the BotGentz extension on any website. All page content is processed locally before being sent to the AI backend—no data is stored or shared beyond the current analysis request. It works on product detail pages with price charts, price tracking service pages, and any page displaying price history data.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that contains price history information—a product page with a price chart, Keepa or CamelCamelCamel graph, Honey price tracker, or similar. Open the panel and click "Summarize Price History." The tool will scan the page for price data, charts, and historical figures, and send the extracted text to the AI for analysis. Within seconds, you'll receive a clear summary with current price, historical range, trend, and a buying recommendation. Use the settings to customize the output: include or exclude historical price range, trend, and recommendation, and choose bullet points or plain text format.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses smart content extraction to locate price history data across diverse shopping and price tracking sites. It scans for common price selectors (price-history, price-chart, pricing-history, price-tracker, keepa, camelcamelcamel, honey) and falls back to keyword-based detection (price, low, high, average, trend, history, chart, range, tracking, current) when needed. It also captures visible price figures. The extracted text is then sent to a dedicated AI backend that identifies current price, historical range, trends, seasonality, and generates a buying recommendation. The AI is instructed to return a structured summary under 1,024 tokens—no preamble, just the price context analysis. The response is formatted as a clean bulleted list with the recommendation highlighted.

THE PANEL

The panel can be dragged anywhere on screen, snapped to the edge, resized, collapsed, and closed with Escape. It remembers its position per site and stays out of your way until you need it.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active AI subscription. The AI replies are generated and should be verified against actual price history data before making purchasing decisions. Sites change frequently; if the tool stops working on a particular site, it may need updating. All data processing is local except for the AI request itself—no browsing data is collected or stored.
