WHAT IT DOES

Rental Listing Summarizer reads rental listing pages—apartments, houses, vacation rentals, and others—and uses AI to produce a concise summary of the rental property. It extracts key information: property type, location, rent price, security deposit, lease terms, bedroom/bathroom count, square footage, amenities, pet policy, availability date, landlord/agent contact details, and any notable features or issues mentioned. The AI output is a short bulleted summary highlighting the most important details a renter needs to know before contacting the landlord.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool runs as a userscript inside the BotGentz extension on any website. All page content is processed locally before being sent to the AI backend—no data is stored or shared beyond the current analysis request. It works on rental listing pages, property detail pages, apartment listings, real estate sites, and vacation rental platforms.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any rental listing page you are considering. Open the panel and click "Summarize Rental." The tool will scan the page for rental content—property details, rent price, lease terms, amenities, and more—and send the extracted text to the AI for analysis. Within seconds, you'll receive a clear summary with all the key details. Use the settings to customize the output: include or exclude lease terms, amenities, and contact information, and choose bullet points or plain text format.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses smart content extraction to locate rental data across diverse listing platforms. It scans for common rental selectors (rental, rental-listing, property-listing, apartment-listing, home-listing, property-details, rent-price, bed-bath, sqft, amenities, lease-terms, pet-policy, availability, landlord-contact) and falls back to keyword-based detection (rent, lease, apartment, property, bedroom, bathroom, deposit, sq ft, amenities, pet, available) when needed. It also captures price, rent, and deposit information. The extracted text is then sent to a dedicated AI backend that identifies key rental details and generates a structured summary. The AI is instructed to return a summary under 1,024 tokens—no preamble, just the rental summary. The response is formatted as a clean bulleted list.

THE PANEL

The panel can be dragged anywhere on screen, snapped to the edge, resized, collapsed, and closed with Escape. It remembers its position per site and stays out of your way until you need it.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active AI subscription. The AI replies are generated and should be verified with the landlord before making any decisions. Sites change frequently; if the tool stops working on a particular site, it may need updating. All data processing is local except for the AI request itself—no browsing data is collected or stored.
