About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Email Reply Disputing a Charge is a customer support tool that analyzes billing statements, transaction records, charge notifications, and invoice details from any webpage, then drafts a clear, professional email disputing a charge. It identifies the transaction date, amount, merchant or billing entity, and relevant account information, then generates a well-structured email that specifies the exact issue (such as incorrect amount, duplicate charge, unauthorized transaction, or billing error), references the transaction details, and clearly states the requested correction or resolution. You can choose between a formal or direct tone, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or financial institution's dispute process.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying billing statements, transaction records, charge notifications, invoices, or similar financial transaction information. Common sources include online banking portals, credit card accounts, payment processors, merchant invoices, and billing history pages.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays billing statement, transaction record, charge notification, or invoice details. Open the BotGentz extension and select Email Reply Disputing a Charge from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Select the type of issue (incorrect amount, duplicate charge, unauthorized transaction, billing error, or other) from the dropdown menu. Optionally, add additional details about the dispute. Select your preferred tone (formal or direct) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Dispute" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant transaction details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a clear, professional dispute email in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — BILLING AND TRANSACTION DATA EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on financial billing and transaction communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing financial indicators such as "billing," "statement," "transaction," "charge," "invoice," "amount," "date," "payment," and "account." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the transaction data and surrounding structural markers (transaction IDs, dates, merchant names, amounts, authorization codes). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a billing or charge record using features like financial language frequency ("$," "balance," "credit," "debit," "total"), date patterns, merchant name markers, and numerical amount references. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into five core categories: the transaction date, the merchant or billing entity, the transaction amount, the transaction ID or reference number, and the current account status. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, issue type, additional details, and tone), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete dispute email with standardized sections (subject line, transaction reference, issue specification, requested resolution, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI drafting feature. AI-generated dispute emails are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and completeness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss transaction details or misread billing data. Websites change their billing page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
