About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Support Chat Transcript Summarizer is a customer support tool that analyzes support chat transcripts, conversation histories, and messaging logs from any webpage, then generates a concise summary of the chat. It identifies the key issue or reason for the chat, the resolutions or answers provided by support, any action items assigned, and any follow-up needed, then produces a clear, easy-to-read summary that captures the essential points of the conversation. You can choose between a brief or detailed summary length, review the summary in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for your records or for sharing with colleagues.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying support chat transcripts, conversation histories, messaging logs, or similar customer support content. Common sources include Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Help Scout, live chat widgets, and other customer support platforms.
HOW TO USE
Navigate to any page that displays a support chat transcript, conversation history, or messaging log. Open the BotGentz extension and select Support Chat Transcript Summarizer from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Select your preferred summary length (brief or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Summarize Transcript" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant conversation details and sends them to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a concise chat summary in the panel. Review the summary, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for your records or for sharing.
TECHNICAL SECTION — CONVERSATION AND MESSAGE LOG EXTRACTION
This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on customer support chat and messaging communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing chat indicators such as "chat," "transcript," "message," "conversation," "support," "agent," "customer," "issue," "resolution," "action," and "follow-up." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the conversation data and surrounding structural markers (message timestamps, sender names, message content, status indicators). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a support chat context using features like conversational language frequency ("asked," "responded," "confirmed," "resolved"), message patterns, and support interaction markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the key issue or reason for the chat, the resolutions or answers provided, any action items assigned, and any follow-up needed. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's length preference, are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a concise summary covering the key categories, reducing hallucination and ensuring accurate, contextually appropriate insights.
THE PANEL
The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI summarization feature. AI-generated chat summaries are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy before relying on them, as interpretations may occasionally miss conversation nuances or misread message context. Websites change their chat page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
