WHAT IT DOES

This tool reads refund-related content from any webpage—refund policy text, order details, customer refund requests, or selected text—and uses AI to draft a clear, professional explanation of the refund policy tailored to the specific situation. It extracts the relevant content, analyzes the context, and generates a complete explanation that includes eligibility criteria, refund timeline, and actionable next steps. You can choose from three output styles: Detailed (comprehensive explanation), Concise (to-the-point), or Bullet Points (easy-to-read format). The explanation appears in the panel where you can review, edit, and copy it to your clipboard. This tool helps customer support agents, business owners, and e-commerce managers communicate refund policies clearly and consistently, reducing customer confusion and improving satisfaction.

WHERE IT RUNS

The script runs on every website and web application you visit. It works with any page containing refund-related content—e-commerce product pages, order confirmation pages, refund policy pages, help center articles, support tickets, and more. It works regardless of framework—React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or plain HTML—and extracts content from the page as rendered in the browser.

HOW TO USE

Upon installation, a floating panel appears with the tool interface. Select the refund-related text on the page (or navigate to a page containing refund policy content), choose your preferred output style (Detailed, Concise, or Bullet Points), and click "Scan & Generate Explanation." The tool extracts the relevant content and sends it to the AI bridge. Within seconds, the AI returns a complete explanation. The panel shows the source content preview and the generated explanation. Click "Copy Explanation" to copy the response to your clipboard, or "Copy Source Text" to copy the original content. Review and edit the explanation before sending it to your customer.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM: INTELLIGENT REFUND CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI EXPLANATION

This tool uses a multi-layer approach to extract refund-related content. It first checks for user-selected text, then looks for common refund containers (refund, refund-policy, return-policy, policy, terms), then scans main content areas for refund-related keywords. The extracted text is cleaned and formatted for the AI. The tool attempts WebMCP (navigator.modelContext) first if available—a W3C proposal for structured tool calls—falling back to the AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest. The AI is prompted to generate an explanation that includes eligibility, timeline, and next steps in the selected style. The explanation is returned as plain text with no preamble, ready for review.

THE PANEL

The panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per website using GM_setValue. It automatically snaps to the nearest screen edge when released for a clean workspace. Click the collapse button to minimize it to a small floating bubble that takes minimal space. Click the bubble to expand the panel back. The panel can be resized by dragging any edge or corner. Press the Escape key to close the panel temporarily, and click the extension icon to reopen it.

This script requires the free BotGentz extension and an active AI subscription. Each explanation generation counts against your monthly AI usage cap. AI-generated explanations should be reviewed and edited before use—the AI may occasionally misinterpret the policy or omit important details. As websites frequently update their structure, scripts may need occasional updates to maintain content extraction accuracy. All data processing happens locally except for the AI request—only the extracted refund content is sent to the AI backend. No browsing history or personal information is transmitted or stored. This tool is designed for customer support assistance and is not an autonomous agent that acts without review.
