About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Technical Support Issue Description Drafter is a customer support tool that analyzes error messages, system information, logs, and troubleshooting details from any webpage, then drafts a clear, detailed technical issue description for support. It identifies error messages, system details, and relevant technical context, then generates a well-structured description that includes a summary of the problem, specific steps to reproduce, expected behavior versus actual behavior, and relevant system details such as browser, operating system, and software version. You can choose between a structured (sections) or narrative (paragraph) style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or bug tracking system.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying error messages, system information, logs, troubleshooting details, or similar technical support content. Common sources include error pages, system logs, browser developer tools, application crash reports, and technical support portals.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays error messages, system information, logs, or troubleshooting details. Open the BotGentz extension and select Technical Support Issue Description Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Optionally, enter steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, and system details. Select your preferred style (structured sections or narrative paragraph) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Description" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant error and system details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a clear, detailed technical issue description in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client or bug tracking system.

TECHNICAL SECTION — ERROR MESSAGE AND SYSTEM INFO EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on technical support and error reporting communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing technical indicators such as "error," "exception," "log," "stack trace," "crash," "bug," "issue," "system," "browser," "version," "OS," "operating system," and "troubleshooting." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the error data and surrounding structural markers (error codes, stack traces, system version strings, log entries). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a technical issue context using features like technical language frequency ("error," "exception," "failed," "undefined," "null"), code patterns, version strings, and log indicators. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into four core categories: the error or issue description, system environment details, any available logs or traces, and troubleshooting context. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, system details, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete technical issue description with standardized sections (issue summary, reproduction steps, expected vs actual behavior, system details, and any additional context), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI drafting feature. AI-generated issue descriptions are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and completeness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss error details or misread technical information. Websites change their error page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
